I bought a board from ebay and on the first outing, there was a crack and it had snapped in the middle.

I don't want to discuss the whole"you should get your money back..." thing, just if and how I can mend the board.

It looks as though the outer glass/mat has given up and the core is not to badly damaged. It was only a case that the board broke during normal use, not when landing a big jump or major trauma like that!

I'm thinking, can I clean of the glass to the mat then add some more mat and re-glass?

I will post some pictures when I can.

You can repair snapped boards but you have to ask is it worth doing if it broke so easily in the first place.

Its quite labour intensive requires specialist equipment & hence costly.

Basically, it has been sitting in the shed for the last year or two and either, needs to be fixed and get on the run, or get binned!

Bad news first. Bin job for sure. That will never be strong enough to use. Now I don't know a lot about the construction but I do know that if its glass mat it will be laid from end to end to form a continuous length. Just bodging a bit in the middle won't work.

Now the good news. I need 2 fins. Specs are on 'wanted' section. I'll pm my addy. Well they aint no use to you thats for sure. :D
