Not there in August but I am there this weekend with board and couple of mates are coming with buggies. Anyone else there then?!!

Whats it like up there....quite fancy going, but was told that a lot of theiving goes on while you are on the beach?

Should be taking the buggie up there in 2 weeks then again for a long weekend in early august. Its not a bad beach and its always pretty quite every time ive been up there. I tend to leave the kite bag on the beach alone with the stake ect and have never really had an issue with theiving.

been camping for 10 years there, (not continuous obv) and never had a problem, camp in the fields not the dunes. get the tide ans wind right and your on for a run of over 6 miles and maybe 10 each way, including a trip through the nudist beach

Was staying at Harlech just up the road a couple of weeks back.No wind though unfortunately!Massive kiting potential in that area,and what a what a stunning part of the world.

i went over to shell island 2 weeks back. do they allow buggies? when i asked at the main office the young ladies didn't seem to know.

if they do what part is best?

i'm looking at being down there first week Aug as well.

yes they do, you must have insurance and show it, you go to the main beach (left hand end of island) and set up at least 200m down beach then head for barmouth! nudist beach after about 2 miles lol. and yes last year i met the naked buggier, and he does buggy in the nude with a climbing harness !!!

on my way back he was teaching a naked young lady to scud under a blade !

i`ll be there Nick, will prob be there before you get up lol, wanna have a fun run in the car so leaving before the roads get busy. Wanna try n beat the 2 hours it took me to get to barmouth in the audi. Let me know where ya pitched. And then, by the time mark gets there with me buggy, i should have the tent all up, you`ll have to give me a hand Nick,, its a bit of a biggun lol. Bring it on,, cant fooking wait. Will bring no wind toys too and me fishing gear.. :)

Boiiiiiiiiiiiiiing,, are we there yet? Oh,, i know im bringing a tent big enough to sleep everyone,, but sadly, ,i dont have all the camping gear i used to have,, the ex kept it and has since sold it,, so,, Nick ,, you`ll no doubt have all the cooking appliances, what do i need to bring? plate? knife n fork? or do you have an ample supply? I really cant wait,, and Mark,, thanks a ton for bringing my buggy,, i know it isnt the easiest thing to transport, it`ll prob take you less time to get it on the trailer than it will me to put the tent up though. oh,, and the bolts holding the axle on, they might be tight,, please try not to thread em lol.. :) this time next week eh guys!!! woohoooo

scud ive most probably got the lot, you can look on in awe as i get another ice cold drink out of the gas powered fridge, then strugle to find a bottle opener

we even have a beer tent with inside bbq and electric lighting. fire pit, comfy chairs and...

have managed to get the weekend off work so may well come out, will be good to get a few tips and runs in with other buggies all i see is boarders.
