HORLEY_KITE_NUT Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 and I can remember when people used to make skateboards out of planks and a chopped up roller skate! bloody 'ell , we used to do the same , but could never get them to run in a straight line rotflmao :D then those dodgey ol' plastic decks came out which used to snap in 1/2 if ya used them to heavily lol , think i still got one of them some where in my perents loft (still in 1 piece though) oldest board i got at home at the moment is an ol' santa cruise cruise missile II , brought that in the early 90's with the old gull wing trucks - and still use it some times lol Quote

xtreme playboy Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Hey Dubs ACS trucks were all the rage in the late /mid 70s i sold a set of 430s last yr got £30 ! but they were narrow ,540s or 570s were wider probably more what you should be looking for or even Gulwing cool looking and expensive at the time as for wheels cyriptonic reds blues greens , soft-med hard 50mm 60 & 70 in all colours i had them all at some point big reds were nice very smooth super grippy soft so they wore quickest oh it takes me back ,got a long board now but at 48 feel a bit of a twat at times cruising along bmth sea front , you see the look in some peoples eyes "grow up" maybe it is but its the older gits cruising on them but hey i get strange looks when i tell people i fly kites ! best of luck mate go retro Quote
