m.klinge Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Hiya Its been long since i last wrote on this great forum - but i just need to get it out to somebody who might actually get my excitement - I just ordered a Trampa board fitted with Vertigo channel trucks. 6,9 kg - thats a wopping 1,5 kg less than my scrub one. Cant wait for it to arrive and to try it out. In the next week ill be heading to Rømø wich is by far the best landboard/buggy spot in Denmark (As far as i remember Obi was there last year!?) - looking forward to test it out Check it out here: http://www.trampaboards.com/-p-861.html ... 78b2d85d1c //M Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Looks nice //M. I've moved over to channel trucks from the skate trucks and love them. Just hope the trampa deck does not turn out to be too heavy for you at around 10kg. Regards, Norman Quote

Regards, Norman Yea my last one had channel trucks as well - they make a huge difference According to their site it should be less than 7 kg total - where do you get the 10 kg from? //M Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Oops, my mistake. You're right. 7 kg that is more like it. Should be a great board, so let's hope your old board holds out until the new one arrives. When I swapped from the skate to the channel trucks there was a slight hike in weight which I noticed whilst riding straight away, but now I think nothing it, the added stability and precision of steering all made up for it. Keep us posted when you get to try the board out. Quote

Yea - well i have allready sold it to a beginner who wanted it for prepping for kitesurfing during the winter (We have reversed seasons here in Denmark compared to you guys) Well I started out on a Scrub akashi (6,3 kg) - then i wanted to upgrade to channel trucks and ended up with a Scrub karakorum (8,4) - and it was quite a huge amount of extra weight but youre right the stabillity an precision made up for it Ill post up some pics of it and me riding it - now i only need to win the lottery and get a pair of HQ matrixx (Oh well ill have to stick with my Royal Solo LEI from kitesurfing) //M Quote
m.klinge Posted October 8, 2011 Author Report Posted October 8, 2011 Just got it yesterday - damnm it looks good, it feels good, I'm sure it must be great!! It's by far the most flexible board I've ever tried, the weight is just right (6,9 kg). Jeez give me wind (from the right direction) so that I can try it out with a kite //M Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Wooo hoo. What about some hills for a down hill run or just push off with your feet on the tarmac ? That's what I do when the wind is no where to be felt. Quote

Well I've spend a hour just staring still and jumping on it But yea downhill is fine, however Denmark isn't known for it's mountains Seriously though there is a decent hill quite near me, i might bring it there (last time I nearly ended up with a broken collar bone/shoulder) just to check it out, but I prefer kiting over downhill (I lack some serious protection as well, kneepads, crash shorts and a full face helmet isnt going to cut it) //M Quote
