Fugazi Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 On the moors, wind came up nicely around 4, got a good hour of fun on a board , more again tomorrow I think ! No point going to Pendle, its a southwesterly tomorrow, blowing straight along the main face, need a south easterly or north westerly to kite pendle properly, Edenfield takes a sw, plus lost of compression if we go on top Phil. boardbuilder Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Hi, thinking of going mon, saying about 15mph, anyone up for snowkiting around Manchester / pendle / other areas ? Apparently southport has had a good 2 ft of snow last week and is still deep but the area doesn't have many hills Cheers Quote
cherylfoster Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Snow kiting that are fully tethered and give a net positive lift are sails that are kites. Sailing vessels on water and land use sail kites. The kiting tethers can be short or long. Power kites are frequently sail kites as the power kite is used to sail a skier, landsailing buggy, wakeboarder, ground wheeled vehicle, boats, etc. Quote
