Ally Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 If William Hill say it's going to happen. . . Bookmakers slash odds of Rage Against The Machine being Christmas Number One | News | NME.COM Quote
jordan_aryan Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 just purchased from hmv. (facebook had a glitch, the original group is back up)....700,000 people on it now. Quote
GaRRy Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 So Rage against the machine get 700,000 sales and becomes Number 1. How is this effecting Simon Cowell ? when he will still sell the same number of his new puppets single as he would if this never happened. Seems to me all it does is give RATM a no 1 that is no more deserving and just as money grabbing as if Mr Cowell got it. Quote
mick Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 I actually may put out a Xmas single. Now while its crap and normally only my family would buy it; if everybody bought a copy that too would keep scowl off the top spot. So think about it guys. Me or Joe at No.1. ;)Come on!! I've a possible title already. Sung to the tune 'All I want for Christmas is me 2 front teeth' its called All I want for Christmas is a Buster 3. I can hear it now. OK pop pickers and the big Christmas No.1 is Mick. Alrite, stay bright. ( in an Aussie accent of course) :D Yay a winner. Quote

Its better than that RATM ctalogue is owned by SonyBMG, who also own Simon Cowells label - to the extent, he has reasonable stake of shares in SonyBMG. So you are still lining his pockets by buying it, in fact, the more publicity and rivalry this creates - who wins? Simon Cowell and SonyBMG.... And if you ignore the fact its a 17 year old song, about racism in america, the police force in particular, and just take the 'f*uck you i won' do what you told me' at face value.... you are signing up to a facebook group telling you to go and buy something you have no need for and probably already own  After all, Zack de la Rocha, he's a man who just looooves capitalism, isn't he Quote
beth1974uk Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 according tot he ITN lunch news .. rage against the machine is at the mo 10% ahead of xfactor Jo!.. Fab!! Quote

anything Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 How is this effecting Simon Cowell ? when he will still sell the same number of his new puppets single as he would if this never happened. If anything it'll up the sales of the X factor single, as Xfactor nutters will buy more just to get their beloved winner to no. 1 spot Quote
