The orange thing locks the clip in place. put the loop arround the clamping screw so oyu dont lose it.

I put it on last night, ended up using some old line as the leash. I put a slip knot (probly has a proper name, it looks like a noose) that goes over the gopro and the other end is looped around the foot strap.

hopefully try it out at the weekend.

is anyone having problems getting the motorsports suction pad to stick to the board, mine works fine on kitchen tops ect but cant get it to suck to the board, any suggestions ?? ??

Cheers

Add a bit of water to help it seal?

Ya, tried that, it does stick better with water then becomes unstuck after a few seconds

As per my previous post...

Manufacturing fault with mine... send it back!

( I think the suction cup has a small dimple on the edge which lets in air)

Supposed to be very difficult to remove once you get it on.

Did you find it would stick to flat surfaces fine i.e laminate floors & kitchen tops just struggling with the board. Damm me for buying bargins off ebay

Wouldn't stick to anything for more than 5 secs and that included perfectly flat glass.

It was meant to go on Lewis Wilby's snowboard for the 2010 Snow Kite Masters.

Just as well I got a late delivery, as I would have probably lost my camera if he had used it.

Lewis used the the helmet mount instead.....

i used the flat stick on pad thingy to stick on the board, i put it next to the fin bolt holes as this will be the stiffest part at the end of a board therefore most likly to stay flat!

Also once its on the camera can be taken off very quickly and the stick on mount doesnt need to be removed as it so small.

Didnt like the look of the suction pad

Used it on sat and its not going anywhere, had a couple of crashes and it was still there. First time i used it, shame about my riding

Surf hero isnt suction, you stick the base plate onto your board.

Motorsports pack I have read that some people have had difficulty sticking it to their board

Ive gone for the helmet hero pack due to someone telling me the image is a little more stable as your body absorbs some of the shaking, plus you get little stick on mounts which Ill use with the J-mount and some kite line attached to the camera/footstrap so I dont lose it

What make of board are you trying to stick it to? Iv had loads of trouble with my nobile 555 as it has a crinkled surface unlike my wakeboard that has a shiny glass like surface which the suction cap sticks to like glue to
