Sir Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=eb9_1252724418 How cool is that ? Quote
Zippy Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Very cool considering they are powerless on the engine front and dont get a 2nd chance at it. Quote
The Geoff Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Oh hell yeah We're getting fairly good at the space thing, there's a few niggles to work out, but I honestly hope we get there before the next big rock takes out everything bigger than a medium cockroach. That's going to be one of the last flights for shuttle - I really hope they do the decent thing and splash out on one last launch for each of the remaining ones so they can leave them in orbit. The engines alone are a great resource for getting to Mars Quote
cookster Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Very cool Found this too http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=09e_1252698628 Quote
Sand-Yeti Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Very interesting vid. Brilliant piece of piloting but no doubt he'd spent hours in a simulator perfecting the landing technique. Quote

Capt Slog Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Neat landing. I wonder if they all stand up the moment the wheels stop turning and start getting stuff out the overhead lockers? Quote
Hillside Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Well of course there is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh7IxmIpRtc&feature=PlayList&p=119FC4B2A15F0AC7&index=7 Great landing skills. Quote
