tszy Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Had a dislocation a couple of years ago - started back flying with a shoulder support from firstaid4sport but no longer need it. Check out the firstaid4sport website - I also bought the intermediate knee braces Quote
paulie_amoose Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 I kitelooped into 20cm of water in Egpyt in 2008, dislocated my shoulder. They wanted to operate but due to the intense phyiso I had they decided not too. I kept up the phyiso long after the injury and now I train my shoulder 3 times a week at the gym. Doing cable pulls, pull ups, bar bell rotations ect to keep the rota cuff really strong, I can now happily do clap pressups and have full range of movement in my shoulder. The risk reoccurence is low due to the amount of muscle built up around the joint, even though there is large chunk of bone missing and the joint should be unstable. Whatever happens, surgery or not do the phiyso, even if it's hard work and keep it up. It saved me from going under knife and all the other complcations that that can cause. My avaitar shows me trying a dangle pass (crap attempt!) but you wouldnt do that on shoulder you didn't trust completely.. Quote
