David M Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 I know that this topic has probably been posted before but I'm quite confused When I got my Rev 1.5 SLE the top lines are the same length as are the bottom but the top ones are longer than the bottom,is this right . I have no adjustment on my leaders,JB(John Berrasi) reconds as long as top and bottom lines are the same,is this OK ? Quote
Alex R Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 All the lines should be of equal length. Then any adjustment to suit your comfortable flying can be done at the leaders on the handles. I have made my own adjustable leaders with bridle line obtained from a kite shop. Quote
spotter Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It all depends on what you are flying with and your style of flying. I noticed that you are still using the stock standard handles with the standard leaders. As Alex posted, you should look at doing what he has there on the top and bottom leaders so you can adjust the lines to suit conditions and your style. Ultimatly, you want all your lines the same length and do the adjustments on the leaders. If you dont want to stick on new leaders, you can have the top and bottom lines slightly different lengths so the break lines (bottom ones) are slightly shorter. This over time becomes another issue as the flight lines (top lines) will stretch and you will have to keep adjusting to suit. If they are all the same length, every ten trips out or something you can swap them over so they all stretch together. Quote
