tracker Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Hi I have a naish element 06 7.5m (ozone frenzy 04) and i find that the brakes dont seam to work as well as i think they should. in winds 15-25 i find that the kite bounces as if to try and take off and it takes a lot of efort to keep it on the floor. is there a system that would increace the braking to act a bit more like my blade on handles. MattPlanet Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 If you're after a breaking system, I'd start with something heavy. Like a hammer. Then perhaps follow up with some scissors or something... Quote
plummet Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 really in those winds you don't want to leave the kite on the brakes or safety. pull on one side of the kite lines and sheet it out. weigh the up wind tip with sand when you want to fly launch at the edge of the window. in intermediate wind land on the brakes then walk foward a couple of steps. this will deflate the kite abit more. if its too windy it wont work. spooky Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Also make sure that the Trim adjuster is fully out (ie powered) as this applies more break/rear line tension, helping to keep it down. Oh yes the Element was not an 04 Frenzy, think it was a re-badged North Husky? Jon Quote
crazyman Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 i find that once you land the kite... grab the brake lines and pull on them ... this usually deflates the kite enough for it not to relaunch... Quote
