Steve Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 It is a proto Frenzy they are not production or final graphics. The unidentified kite is a 5M Flow IMO. Robbie is somewhere in Oz right now testing and trimming the final protos of the Frenzy There is a new fixed bridle kite coming, soon. Quote
.Joel Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 It is a proto Frenzy they are not production or final graphics. So it must be a prototype bag as well then Quote
Steve Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Correct. I've seen some amazing small production test stuff done by Ozone over the years, but then the big guy cans its and its never seen again. They had a new embossed material, Matt taggart had a board bag and a backpack made in it when we went to Kitestock, I thought it was awesome, later he told me it was not going into production. Ozone use a very different business model to almost all the other kite brands, and its primarily because they own their own factory. They are a large consumer of woven textiles and are regularly sent samples from heir suppliers or new suppliers trying to get some of their business, this then gets made into "things", and tested. Torrin Bright and Andy Banks are their main graphics people and they are always messing with he logo and making new designs. Ozone produce all their own bags and all their own screenprinting in house in their own factory. The kite and the bag were an early proto both in kite design and graphical look. The Kite only underwent final testing and trimming in the last few weeks in nth Qld somewhere, thats why I know that one is not a production kite. Quote
plummet Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 The buggy boys in nz have been testing a secret 3m........ one then presumes its a buggy engine of some description. Quote
