Denver1229 Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Hi Can someone tell me how to properly fit a PL dry bag? It would be good to lock it in tight and also so it clears the ground as I occasionally roll over limestone in the dunes and don't want it hacked up. Everytime you break down the buggy and remove the rear axle you have to remove it, but that is no real problem. What/how much do you store in yours if you use one, or do you find a backpack works better. I just noticed someone's buggy with electrics rigged up on it, would this be for a GPS and would it obviously then have battery power? Cheers Quote
andy666 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 I'v found that the easiest place to mount a dry bag is right up behind the seat rather then on top of the rear axle. just rap the straps a couple of times around the side rails and join them togther, easy. It even allows the back axle to be removed without removing the bag. A good tip is to rap one of the strap around the side rail above the back rest strap to stop it slipping. As for what to put in the bag? I guess whatever floats your boat... a tea kettle and biscuits maybe? Or maybe just a spare kite, suncreen and a bottle of water. I usually only use my bag when I'm going for a long run and I don't want to leave anything on the beach. Quote
Denver1229 Posted May 20, 2010 Author Report Posted May 20, 2010 Thanks Andy, yes that was my issue with it slipping and good idea to strap it up higher. I'll give it a shot. Quote
