Hi every one i am looking to buy a small high wind kite in about a 6 or 7 m size.

I am also wanting to use the kite to teach some of my friends who have shown interest in kiting over the last year or so.

I have seen these EH kites and dont know much about them but the EH beast looks like it might be suitable and prety good value.

what are your thoughts and do any of you have experience with the EH BEAST

cheers Joel

I don't know any thing about the EH kites, but I have noticed the small depowers are damned quick and turn very fast, perhaps not the best thing for biginners. The problem is, for the experienced kite surfer, the increased speed and turning speed just add to the fun, but for the beginner I would think slowing it down some what would be better. So there is the delema, slower kite less fun for me better for friends, or faster kite more fun for me not as good for friends --- I know which one I would go for.

The Beast ..... a nice kite. Build solid like most of the EH kite range you will be happy with the quality of the Beast. The beast is the grunty low aspect kite, slower predictable turning. Very stable in the sky .... they don't get too knocked around by gusts but they will translate it to power. They have a reasonable amount of throw on the bar which gives a pretty good depower range but not as much as some bars. I have never been a big fan of their bars but I do like the kites.

I have spent a fair amount of time on and older 07 Beast, I own a ripper and have and Ovando in the 'demo me' bag.

Can't fault the quality of these kites ... they are built simple and functional. No one pumps .... bugger all pulleys.

Hope that helps.

Marty
