jugglerjon Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 Chuffed to bits with that. Was a great morning with smooth winds for once. Heres the link to web version http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7370993.stm Quote
FO Kite Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 British Buggy speed record .....52 mph Still a nice little promo film Quote
Batho_777 Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 and a mention after for Bulletmagnet for highest top speed. Good coverage by BBC Quote
jugglerjon Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 dunno where the 52mph came from, but at least they corrected it @ Bulettmagnet - thats one hell of a speed Quote
The Flyin Scotsman Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 52mph is the official guiness book of records record, thats why they're saying 52mph. Kev Quote
Zagreth Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 WOW - awesome article - still hard to believe that they reduced 3 hours of filiming down to a few minutes. So glad we got good winds and a good turn out on a weekday with everyone having arranged time off work. They did say that we might be able to have all the footage so there's scope for someone to produce a longer possibly more embarrasing one! Oh and the 52mph came from me, sorry to Bulletmagnet as I didn't know, but like Kev says it does say that in the Guiness Book of Records! Best part is my mate Andrew is currently in St Lucia and he saw us on BBC World News !!! If you want to see it again: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7651748.stm Quote
