Cornwall - Siblyback Lake

Katch

just a bit wound up after my last session at watergate - nearly lost my board in the rip and kept ending up on the beach as the water disappeared from under me.

quite disconcerting loading up your rail for a trick only to see sand appearing under you.

watergate isnt the best really, i hardly ever ride there anymore.

daymer and hawkers are great, lovely and flat. yesterdaY at perran, lovely big flat spots, but was rather windy, was overpowered on my 7! very nice though!

my 9m felt like a bull on a string yesterday at Watergate - might try and get to Daymer for low tide.

Oh and Siblyback is a definite no - same for all the SW Lakes Trust... :( shame.

The south west lakes trust rules actually state that two kitesurfers are allowed on there lakes at any one time! So, officially, kitesurfing IS allowed. However, if you call any of the lakes, the staff will tell you otherwise. I would suggest turning up with a copy of the rules and pointing out to the staff at the centre that their own rules state that you can fly. They'll probably try and charge you a launch fee but its gotta be worth a go!!

Stithians might be the better option as Siblyback gets V gust and isn't as big!
