garyc Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Im thinking of getting a 2009 lunacy board and was wounding if anyone rides them and can give there view on what there like. I use a 127 misfit at the mo but have managed to crack it. cheers gary Quote

DARKSIDE1599968628 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 I agree with the Moose's review. I am 86kg and have the 132 also, I came from a Nobile 666 132. I Have also changed the footbeds to Underground ones, which are super comfy and Dakine contour straps. Quote
Blue Ice Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 So... coming from the 666, how do you compare them both? I take it the size of ya 666 was a 132 aswell? Quote
DARKSIDE1599968628 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 yes mate, i did mention it was a 132:rolleyes: . I had 666's for two years and loved em, but I do prefer the Lunacy. It feels smother through the chop and is very forgiving if you dont land "just right" from unhooked stuff. I've had it out in head high waves and it coped allright although it excells when it's flatter. The lunacy is a bit heavier, but one thing of note is that the standard foot pads, although comfy at first, collapsed under the heel on both pads and the straps weren't good unless you put them on with the wide bit on the outside, the opposite to how they should be. KiteItRight Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 the straps are very forward pointing with little toe out, so they can be uncomfy.. its easy to sort out tho. the deck is awsome. it had insane pop, but is on the heavy side of light which most people who have bought like it because it gives you momentum when your going into a trick.. it has medium amount of concave and small rocker, so its fast and quite grippy. Best bit are the wide tips, despite having these it eats through chop, you can load up so much twang! Quote
