updating my quiver

Currently flying 06 Waroo's (12m & 7m) on an 07 best bar, considering the dramatic update to the Waroo and other kites since 06, what size's should i consider getting in the 08/09 ranges....

 

weigh in at 10.5 - 11 stone and 5' 6'' like the option on a 7 or 8m kite at the high end rather than 9m for highwind kite.

 

would consider switching Brands however the cost of updating Bar & Lines does play some questions to budget...

 

do Best 08/09 kites fly OK on the 07 bar? or will i be looking at a new bar anyway.

 

Will obviously look a demo's before making the plunge, however what kites do people recommend for newbie/intermediate rider....

I use the 08 kites with the 07 bar. If you look on the best forums there are some ways you can tweak the 07 bar to work a bit better with the 08 kites. You can shorten the depower line for 08 as the double pulley system gives a shorter throw.

 

There is a huge difference from 06 to 08 kite in the waroo range. The 7m is a super kite for high winds. Build quality is much improved as well. I guess an 11/7 combo would be most similar to your current setup.

 

Plenty more makes to choose from but I haven't flown them. As always, it comes down to what you are familiar with and what you get a chance to test fly.
