    Flexifoil Proteam 8

I initially bought a symphony HQ 1.4m after flying this on the beach in a gale in Aberdeen and having a fantastic time, i thought I must get something bigger! Of course I thought flexifoil!

Ordered the proteam 8 on the internet, and it was delivered the next day.

The packaging looked pretty impressive, a long narrow bag, with vents.

Got everithing out in the lounge and thought this is the buisness, excellent a huge kite! Came with lines, well padded handles instructions , repair voucher and sticker!

First flight was at Harlech beach, north Wales -wind blowing 8-15mph.

Got it out the bag, easy to set up and attatch the lines and handles (lines very long). Launched with the assistance of my wife. Kite went straight up, turned easly - but there was no pull at all, when it got anywhere close to the edge of the wind window down it would come! I was trying to look like I was enjoying myself as I had just spent over £100 on a kite!

Later on met with a freind who had brought a Ozone little devil, and a blade 4.9. After flying those I new I new i had wasted my money...

    see the beginners guide here

I sold the proteam 8 on ebay and lost 20 quid! But i am now the proud owner of a Ozone Samurai 5m and am still waiting for the British weather to sort it's self out so i can fly the thing!

I find the Proteam 8 flies best in a wind strength of 10mph minimum. It gives the most pull when flying across the wind window with the kite vertical. It can also be used to some extent as a stunt kite albeit only loops are possible, unless someone knows better. I enjoy flying mine and am hoping to pick up a 10' one soon to fly them as a stack.

i agree u must no how to fly this kite to get pull out of it but it is a very good kite for the younger generations to get into the sport

i have found i can fly this kite in all but sub 5mph where it is very frustrating(the spars way down the kite and are also awkward to carry), in about 15mph + it starts to become good fun and flying in low winds has taught me alot about kite control. i might add that while this kite has a good amount of power for its size it has an area of 1.5m, meaning that it, aswell as being an increase of the symphonys area, is still a small kite, i am just saying that although i am somtimes dissapointed with this kite and its power levels and that serious research is necessary before purchasing this kite i beleive that this reveiw was unfair to this product.
