I've just found out one of my mates is into kiting, and hope to take her up to Roundhay tomorrow, weather permitting. If anyone's up for going, do come along.
Hiya Jason, Roudhay is quite a large park, with a lake, and ample room for kiting. There are trees surrounding, but there's enough clear space for that not to be a problem. Only problem is you're not strictly allowed any wheels, so if a warden comes you'll get a telling off! Here's a map:

It's right next to 'tropical world', which is signposted.
Don't have any plans for the weekend, but I'm open to persuasion. Tides are a bit nasty, so Redcar is probably out.
