  1. For Sale: The ultimte light wind kite, Flysurfer Speed 2 15m, extremely well looked after, mint condition, comes with manual and spares. Sensible offers please. Cabrinha Switch Blade II 16m, good condition, kite still crispy etc. Very slight colour bleed from being packed wet. Comes with mint bar and lines (only used once). £280. Slingshot Lunacy board 129. Very good condition, some wear on the fins and light scratches on base but nothing you wouldnt expect to see on a board that has been used a few times. £280
  2. dont you just hate it when it gets too serious? obviously need to start the old 'C kite = men' thread or somthing about 'bomosexuals', dont quite know where that leaves the foil guys though!!
  3. I seem to remember the original question was are flysurfers any good for kitesurfing? I apologise for trying to inject a little humour into the thread, but you cant argue the fact that foils take more skills to fly that your average bow so for most perhaps the best flysurfer to buy is an inflatable?
  4. looks like i am out numbered by foil guys here!! haha, maybe you are right and foils are the nuts, makes you wonder why there are so many inflatables on the water though.
  5. i havent 'bad mouthed 'flusurfers, if you bothered to read my original post you would see i said they are good but in the right conditions. all kites have their limitations, good points and bad, I have owned 3 different flysurfer models and a total of 5 individual kites (4 line and 5) so I have some experience of the brand and when asked am happy to share my experiences, the same goes for my current kit which again I will give an honest opinion of good and bad.
  6. listen mate i dont have to prove anything to you so fu. ask getholdofgraeme on here or betterman or kiteaholic. they all have flown it in same winds. ps when did i ever say i self landed it in 24mph? go irritate someone else please, im not your play mate sounds like you get irritated too easily, swearing and name calling just goes to proove it. As i said I got a 15m speed 2 and have used it in 25mph but that was simply to get back in and change down, and certainly isnt what should be considered a usable wind range. Its ridiculous wind range claims that end up misguiding people and seeing them hurt.
  7. Erm pull the safety and watch it come down. Easy really if you take the time to think about it, but i forget you inflatable boys don't know how to self land do you? TMW in that wind speed hope u have lots of spare little connectors!
  8. I thought it's was there to give guys easy access..... haha very good!! havent tried the pro X but have a lunacy, it works well as a specialist board but isnt an all rounder by any means, best to get one as part of a 2 board quiver.
  9. my wetsuit has a big tear in the crotch, but thats from struggling to get my C kite man tackle in!!!
  10. would like to see you out on a 19m speed 2 in 24mph! then would really love to see you self land it.
  11. An inflatable!

    c kite

you got to get the kite on its back then steer it to the edge of the window, if you just pull on a steering line you will wait forever or it will never relaunch. just look up some old 4 line kite relaunch vids, or 5th line vids.
  13. they handle like a hybrid, easy set up etc and are really quite rhobust. relaunch isnt as easy as a hybrid especially if you have pulled the safety. hang time is second to none and they do have a very big wind range. if you ride flat water spots then they will be fine, i dont think they work so well in the waves as they are slow on the turn. the large sizes are the ultimate for light wind kiting but performance wise the smaller sizes i dont think are up there with inflatables. Granted you can ride a smaller size in any given wind speed but considering my 12m vegas turns as quickly as my old Physco 3 8m there is little advantage. I could go on but cant be arsed, bottom line is I still have a 15m speed2 as there is nothing better in light winds, the rest of my kites are inflatables, having at one time owned 10m, 8m, 6, Psycho 3's and a 10m Pulse.
  14. really not sure about the SUP, at least with the play boat you can surf the waves when its not windy or paddle the white water river when its flat.
  15. not sure about SUP, think I would rather get a playboat or surf Kayak
  16. buy a new fin its not like they are expensive
  17. yes the link was ****e!
  18. Egypt has the most consistent wind around that time of year, is always sunny and the water is super flat.
  19. Oh no!! handles!!!!! Dear oh dear! though you were trying to claim a man kite? When i rode blades it was on a bar with the brake lines removed, obviously before I changed to proper C kites!!!! Dissapointing guys, better have a rethink, or at least photoshop the handles out!!!
  20. one of these by any chance?
  21. are all girlfriends like that in NZ?
  22. the C kite boys can afford to be quiet, this topic has been written to death, everyone now knows C kite boys are hardcore real men with mhassive nuts!!
  23. vegas have a bigger usable windrange than the torch particularly when it comes to the top end. 9m usable from 20 good to 35 - 40 depending on rider skill. 12m 16-17 mph, top end 30mph, tested tuesday.
  24. should still be able to hold your edge in choppy waters, as suggested keep the kite low 45 degrees, if the kite is high and powered it will pull you off your edge and down wind. Secondly try curling up your toes when riding along, this transfers weight to your heels and will help lots in maintaining your edge.
  25. the 06 was a 5 line kite. if you are used to bows probably best not to get an older fuel. £260 mmmm you can get a brand new Ion 2 8.5m complete for £500! A Naish Raven 06/07 brand new for £400 or a used 9m nova 2 2007 for £400
