  13. are you going out today?
  14. quote]yeah deffo mate would like to have a blast on it always nice to try different kites had a couple of good sessions last week 30 knots easterlys i think im the only local silly enough to go out during the cold months now days ! im still getting out in the cold months, just started a new job so can finally get out a lot more in the week again, happy days. I have noticed that there are practically none of the guys out who used to be regulars 3-4 years ago. The forums also seem quieter, maybe the boom in interest over the last few years is finally setling down.
  15. 35 today!! got a tartan wave board. Truth is I didnt have any C's to sell.............they were vegas' Was just getting bored of the same old stuff, thought I would leave the easy twin tip riding to the kids and swap to the hard strapless 'mans' riding!! haha the Bandit does have the longest bridle you have ever seen though. I think for general riding/freestyle etc the vegas is still number 1.
  16. hey mate yea not been down the bay for a while, greatstone is nearer for the easterlies now and easier on the wallet!! will try and get over there though after any N'ly or E'ly gales when the waves pick up. the bandits are ok, particularly good for waves, am riding a strapless surfboard these days, the delta sits deeper in the window which helps when going down the line etc. the only complaints i have with the bandits are 1. the bar pressure is on the heavy side, and 2 the strut inflation points have ball valves (flaps are so much better) oh and for some reason they are on the left of the strut which means you have to insert the bung kack handed. pretty minor niggles really and you can certainly live with them. the bottom end is ridiculous, especially with a wave board, as a guide when the others are on their twins and 14m vegas I am on the 7m!! will be ordering the 4.5m soon. if youfancy trying one give me a shout.
  17. i would say 20-30mph for your weight
  18. ooooooooo they look like pics of my old 7m vegas!!!!! I would agree with general opinions here, the 09 is better built and has a little more bottom end size for size. I believe the bigger sizes are quicker than the 08's but i think they have slowed the smaller sizes down. I rode the 7m on the wide bar setting and fast kite setting and found it to be slow for a 7m, having said that i do like my kites to turn quicker than most. Ultimately i would say they are well worth the upgrade and a 7m, 10m, 14m quiver will cover most riders for all conditions.
  19. I guess the delta sits somewhere between a C and a bow in terms of safety but with regards to performance thats a little harder to quantify. I have the 7, 9 and 12 bandit dos II and will shortly be getting the 4.5 (these kites have great bottom end). my observations so far are the kite tends to spin more like a bow rather than turn like a C, in this respect it doesnt generate power in the turn like a C, steering inputs also lag a little, especially when depowered, and are not as direct as a C. This is easily overcome though with time on the water. another point already noted elsewhere is that the bar pressure is on the heavy side when compared to other kite 'types' due to the delta design the kite has a lot of sail in the wind compared to other designs which gives a very impressive bottom end. these kites do jump well and i find i get pulled off the water with a lot more force than with my old vegas 08 and 09's. for me where the delta really performs is in the waves, the kite sits deeper in the window which helps no end when going down the line.
  20. mmmm can only help with spots near sewage.
  21. recommend me a bow....................... dude, you got to be kidding!!
  22. wasnt the rev supposed to be a 'bridled fuel'? or at least the power and feel of a C kite with the depower of a bow!! marketing bo11ocks
