Sorry gents the board is now SOLD! Hopefully you'll be able to grab a go from the new owner!

Hey dude, Is difficult to just give you a measurement as it really depends on how you setup the footstraps and the way your foot sits in the binding, as its not perpendicular to the face of the wheels. All I can really say is that I have size 10 feet and they dont hit the tyres! Let me know if your still interested.

Still taking offers although think it will be gone by the end of the week!

Well it is actually with a touch of sadness that I'm putting my DEX Board up for sale. When I ordered the board I hadn't ever intended to get into kite surfing but by the time I had the board, Spike was inundated with orders, and I was pretty much set on kite surfing. As such not only have I kept the board in storage, for the last year , I haven't actually used it as much as I originally intended! Although I've ridden it more than enough to realise how good it is! Better than me! So this is really a fantastic board lol. Especially since there isn't/hasn't ever been a competitor to the DEX brand! As such it really is stupid to keep such a fantastic board in the cupboard and given how good it is, and how bad I am likely to have become at land boarding, I think it is time to get back a bit of cash plus some cupboard space for some more toys... The board is a mint example of a Custom DEX Eliptical Revo Titanium Axle Kite board, I really pushed the boat out with this one and got Spike to create an absolute gem of a board. To be honest I’ve not got the foggiest how much this is worth as they don’t really come up for sale very often, therefore I will be taking the highest bid on the board from whoever is interested, so please drop me a PM and I can let you know what the current offer is, if any! Although if the price isn’t reasonable I probably won’t bother selling it, its nice to look at! Without the wheels the board complete weighs…. 3.417kg!!! I’ll let the pics do the talking although more details can be found below! http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1522.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1523.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1525.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1526.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1527.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1528.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1529.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1532.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1534.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1535.jpg The eliptical revos give the plushness of the "old" revos with the turning capability of standard skate trucks, and a much lower weight penalty, couple this with the Titanium axles, I have the original invoice to prove these are Ti for those unsure what it looks like, and the board for the strength it provides is super light! The board was created around an 11stone rider that wants a lot of pop in the board, without it bottoming out on jumps. As such there’s a quick pic of the level of deflection when I’m stood on it, not a huge amount, as such I have never managed to bottom the board out and I doubt that riders heavier than me, within reason J will bottom the board out on jumps. The board is 83cm, axle to axle, I wanted a board that would be good for freestyle tricks and spinning!! And its fantastic! But to be honest I never thought that it felt unstable at speed due to the fantastic revos! As you will notice I have put on what can only be described as “awful” wheels and tyres! This was due to the fact they were the only ones in the shop and I always intended to change them to rockstars or something similarly better, but as above never got round to it! The wheels will obviously be included in the sale but it would be a travesty to weigh the board with those wheels!! You will notice the end caps of the revos are a slightly different colour, an error in anodising, as such Spike sent me out replacement end caps that are the same colour for replacement. The intention being when the end caps got a bit bashed I could swap them over, again I haven’t ridden it enough to warrant it! Although you will notice a few stone chips on the bottom of the revos, these are only cosmetic and have just gone through the anodising unfortunately my local spot was a bit stoney on occasion!! Enjoy Martin

Evening! Well after buying this board for "her indoors" to learn with and then subsequently getting obsessed with Kite surfing both myself and the Mrs no longer need our boards... My D-EX board is also up for sale.... Will insert a link when I've done that sale! As you can see the board is hardly used without any damage and is a good solid board to land board with! Is perfect for both beginners and those moving on to something a bit more exciting! Good for cruising and hitting the tricks! Whatever your after, a good all round board! To be honest the board is just taking up cupboard space, which is in short supply with the other toys! As such the first person that makes a reasonable offer can have it! Feel free to either pick it up or I can send it to you, I imagine the P&P is going to be £20ish... Anyway look forward to hearing from you... and if you fancy something a bit more snazzy then check out my DEX..... Martin p.s. if anyone can tell me how to upload a picture it would be much appreciated I've uploaded them to photobucket and included[:)url][:)/url]??? http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1520.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu93/MartinDEX/IMG_1521.jpg

Jammy to say the least! Where are you gents heading to Broughton? Did look at it vaguely but think I'll wait for a more SE! As Broughton has got a hell of tide by all accounts? You'll have to PM me the technique of getting the O/H to let you out so soon! You'll be telling me next you dont have to change her during the night!! lol

To be honest with the whole arguement of if you can't swim then you shouldn't be out its unfortunately down to personnel choice. My personnel opinion is that if you can't swim then you shouldn't be out past your depth, your only putting yourself at risk! If I couldn't swim I would still be land boarding, the sea constantly suprises me as to how dangerous it can be! Maybe its just me and I'm too risk averse! Regardless of the whole onshore offshore arguement if the lines snap, the bladder bursts, or anything else tha means you have to release the kite it now becomes useless as an aid to getting you home and a bouyancy aid will have limited use when your in a rip tide, it will actually drag you further out! As Dom will know I went out in an offshore, I know V Silly , about a year ago and although I'm a very strong swimmer in the pool and out in the sea; when your swimming for close to 45min against the tide even I started to panic. My advice, although tbh it means bugger all to anyone else, is that you should keep in your depth as much as pos, always have someone looking out for you that knows your capability in the water, i.e. if they know your a weak swimmer then the time to call for help is a lot sonner than a stronger swimmer! Dom is right to all those that say they can swim a good mile in the pool try doing it in the sea, without the nice walls to bounce off every 25m and a tide that is doing 5knots and your swimming at 6! Kitesurfing is a dangerous sport not only because we fly with so much power in a simple kite! but also because of the sea its unpredictable and very hard to judge and will constantly change! Make your choice but I'd rather not see another kitesurfer in the news...... Unless I suddenly get amazing and win the PKRA, now thats news worthy!!! p.s. @Dom - Congrats on Megan very kewl, you won't need to worry about this debate anyway surely you've been banned for a good few weeks!??
