  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7410568.stm New results out today based on tests taken after last summers floods has caused an increase in beachses failing the tests. Is this accurate for your water or does it not bother you at all.
  3. After a similar kind of package myself only willing to pay a little more, most of the decent kitesurfing destinations seem a little too couple orientated and quiet with regard to nightlife. I don't want Ibiza busy butfound Fuerte in October not enough going on.
  4. Interesting story, the obvious one I thought of was Monkey Kites!
  5. There should be a KiteSurf on TV Sticky where if see see something in a TV Guide coming up we post in there, saves people missing threads. Just an Idea. I only seem to find it on Extreme Sports channel or SkySports 3 in the middle of the night. Luckily Sky Plus means I can record and watch later if I remember.
  6. Do you have to join Ainsdale aswell then or just ensure that you have a permit along with insurance?
  7. How long is the permit valid for? I was considering joining ainsdale but was under the impression that I would have to buy a permit and rent a rash vest or something everytime I wanted to visit? I was more swayed towards south shore because of this.
  8. Bought 9m Waroo from Drakon, picked up in person, great to deal with and would have no problems dealing with again, also happy to advise.
  9. More experienced users could help out by advising of the rules and explaining the beach good practices, also if people seem to be struggling why not give up a little of your time to help them and pass on some advice and coaching. Make it a sociable thing ey and make the noobs feel welcome, this would also have the benefit of making the beach safer and more enjoyable for all This obviously doesnt count for the blatantly incosiderate people who need slapping. Perhaps members of the Ainsdale Club could take turns to patrol if you like and whilst at it help people along and sell the benefits of their club, generally be an identifiable point of contact.

  11. What about both new or both secondhand. I think it all depends on which make/model youre looking at and if second hand the year/condition i.e different brands added important safety feature upgrades to their products in some years. I did wonder when looking at second hand kites, that lots say kite ripped and repaired and doesnt affect. I did wonder how true this is and if there were rips in certain places or sizes one should definately stay away from.
  12. Where and when is this, is it a private event or can anyone go?
  13. Looks perfect for me, im pretty local too. Sent pm.
  14. The plan is to have it in the water, but initially I want to master control on land to back up my previos IKO lessons, before taking more lessons for the water. Considering most of my kiting will be in the North west, should I still only be looking at 10,11,12 meter kites. Everytime i've been to the coast it seems windy as hell. Any chance of use out of smaller kites.
  15. Im seeing a few Switchblades that that may fall within my price range, perhaps worth considering? Im set on a bow, but am mindful of spending money on something a could trash very quickly. I guess with that in mind it's worth considering gear with a bar which will still be of use long after the kite has died.
