  1. Amen to that! (still got to loose some fat though! my return to the kite world should hurry that along!)
  2. less pies! i feel i should again remind that this thread is over 4 years old... and I did find a harness back in 2004, also i still have it now! Cheers Dazzler
  3. blimey been a while since i have seen this thread...... did get a harness back then, then broke me leg, now returning to the sport very slowly.... there ya go! 4 years catch up! Cheers Dazzler
  4. awesome vid! good work! Cheers Dazzler
  5. lol i think it will be quite a few sessions static, im keen to get back in but need to build up me upper body strength again! even the thought of getting back to kiting it exciting, i really have missed it, the changes in kit are amazing, but my old kit is still good Cheers Dazzler
  6. Right I have sorted the harness issue, the webbing on mine was a bit tatty any way so got some new webbing and replaced the old, this gave the oppertunity to make the lengths an inch longer to cover the added beer gut! Im gtting my Storm I 16m back to functioning order too, it has a popped leading edge at the mo but flexifoil have managed to source me a replacement so that will be with me next week, my thoughs on the landboarding can anyone recommend a land board? (I know this is poss totally the wrong forum) it seems that this could be a route to ease me back into it, either way still gonna static fly for a few months first Cheers Dazzler
  7. mmm that is an idea, but can that also be used in water, (swap out the spreader bar?) Cheers Dazzler
  8. I have a mystic Aviator at the moment, but I am a bit of a fatty.... hopefully getting back to the sport i loved will sort that out a bit, im thinking of maby going to landboarding before thinking of getting back in the water. but first i want to do 6 months minimum with static flying, get used to it again. Cheers Dazzler
  9. also can anyone recommend a harness for a now propper fatty! need a harness for a 44" waist..... let the insults reign in... now you see the need to get back to the kiting, need the fun exercise back! Cheers Dazzler
  10. Hi All, It has been a long time since I have had a cruze through these forums, I used to kitesurf and static fly but had an accident in late 2005, broke me leg (tib and fib) and now have a good old bit of metal in it.... havent had a kite out since, but the bug is returning, I want to start static flying my blade again, I have been missing the fun and great exercise that kiting provided, im going to have to loose a lot of weight before getting back on a board though me thinks, even me old kite harness is tight as hell now, although me wet suit still fits! so this is a message to say Hi all, and blimey hasent the kite tech changed! so the questions is are my kites still a good choice? (as in the gurilla 16m and the takoon 12m) I have a 16m Storm that im in the process of getting a replacement leading edge bladder for too. Cheers Dazzler
  11. hi all, well im back home now and i have got 6 weeks on my arse with my PC, which i think i can handle! gonna miss the kitin for a while though, gonna be at least october before i get back out there..... as for how i did it, i would love to say that it was a phat jump with a handle pass that went wrong..... but the truth of the matter is that i was in just shourt of waist depth just walking out of the water, kite fully depowered and board in one hand, then i got lifted (only about a foot) bit as i went up the board in my hand swung round an knocked me leg, which put me off balance and i hit the sand at a funny angle, then bang me foot is twisted (not to hard with my mighty weight behind it!) and that was it.... oh well nevermind ay! Cheers Dazzler.
  12. hi all, so here i am still in trelisk hospital after me little accident at constentine 2 weeks ago. but on te other hand i should be going home this afternoon or tomorrow. so what happend is the question i hear? well on the monday (2 weeks ago today) had the best session of my life at constentine beach, the wind was good the swell was not too big, and it was a nice sunny day! at the end of the session me andme mate agreed that we would be back the day after for anpther go, so i agreed to meet him after work again. tuesday comes and the wind has dropped, b7t looks like there is still enough. so in i go and after about an hour of gettin going but not having quite enough power i decided to give up. do headin back towards the sand all goes wrong...... got lifted but a random gust, and bang me left foot is pointing backwards and before i know it im in a seaking on me way to hospital with a head full of morphene. reminder to all, be carefull out there! daz out.
  13. Yea got to love that power, but with my size i need the "BIGun" to get me up, all others where on 12's. any ways, will see what i can sort out, I was thinkin i probably should get a zip from peter lynn or should i???? Dazzler
