  1. Now sold.
  2. Hi, I have a 9m 2006 Ozone Instinct (in blue/white) that I'm looking to sell as I've just bought an 09 Instinct Sport. I learnt on this kite and it has served me very well. It's ruggedly constructed (has been to Brazil, Egypt etc.) and I reckon the kite has several years left in it. The kite has had no repairs, is still in good condition and has recently had a new leading edge bladder fitted. The bar is reasonably good except the protective plastic sheath around the de-power rope has come off so the rope could probably do with being replaced in the next year or so. I've also upgraded the safety system to the 2007 version so it now has total safety flag-out via an OSH on one of the front lines. Comes with the original bag which is in good nick. I'm looking for around £180 but will consider offers. Will try and post pics this weekend. Cheers Paul paul@phbnet.co.uk
  3. Hello fella, Whereabouts in Devon are you? Cheers Paul

    Portsmouth

Hayling Island is possibly the best beach on the S.Coast but is membership only (for good reasons - google 'hka' for the website). You could try off of Southsea seafront (South part of Portsmouth) as a few people launch there, or maybe East Wittering. There're quite a few locations eastwards (Shoreham, Lancing, Worthing) but not sure about membership. Hill Head and Poole are to the West - again unsure about restrictions. Try the kiteboarder forum for more info. You'll need a 5/3 - water temp is around 10 degC I believe. Paul
  5. Healy - you have pm. Cheers Paul

  17. Hi all, I've decided to sell my land kiting gear as I only kitesurf these days. I think this whole package would be great as a stater kit to get into de-powerable flying and landboarding. Here's what I've got: Peter Lynn Venom 13m (mkI) in red and white · Low use so ripstop is still nice and crispy · No rips, tears or repairs · Original carbon spars · Original expandable rucksack · Looking for around £240 ono for kite only Peter Lynn Venom 16m (mkI) in red and orange · Even lower use than the 13, so again still nice and cripsy · No rips, tears or repairs · Original carbon spars · Original expandable rucksack · Looking for around £260 ono. for kite only 50cm Zero-4 Control bar for the above kites with 4x27m lines - NOW SOLD · Stainless shackle swivel added so lines can be untwisted after jumps etc. · Modified safety - dodgy original plastic stopper ball has been replaced with stainless steel rings · Looking for around £40 ono. MBS Core 16 Mountainboard - NOW SOLD · Matrix channel trucks, F2 bindings, 117cm length · Light use so good condition apart from the usual corrosion on the footstrap fittings and truck springs · Recent new set of stainless bearings · Original tyres with virtually no wear to treads · Fitted with stiffer orange eggshock rubbers (I will include the yellow originals). · Earth2air compact board bag · Looking for around £80 ono. Safety gear- NOW ALL SOLD · Brand X body armour suit, barely used, Size XL (I'm 5'11" and medium build and it fits OK) · 661 Pro DJ knee pads, Size M, slight tear to the material on the inside of one of them but doesn't affect them (these are the wrap-around pad type not the step-in type, much easier to put on) · Anarchy 'cool-gel' wrist guards, good condition apart from the usual palm suffs, Size M · Looking for around £25 for the lot Ideally I'd like to sell the lot as one package (particularly the kites because the bar suits both) but will split if needs be. Please PM me if you're interested and we can discuss price and postage. 20. Well you'd think so wouldn't you - but read Stonecold's post again dude. Seems like 0.5 psi could be enough to overdo it, so I suggest going by a gauge is best rather than just doing it by judgement. I for one don't want to be replacing bladders every other session.
  21. Thanks for the info and sorry if I provoked any destructive testing ! Does your pump gauge register the pressure OK on inflating the LE - I presume it must do from your post. Cheers, Paul
  22. Hi all, I've got 06 Instincts and the recommended inflation pressures are 8 psi for the struts and 5.5 psi for the LE. The gauge on the pump that Ozone supply reads the 8 psi for the struts no problem but I can't get a reading when inflating the LE so it's a bit of guesswork and I'm worried I might be over doing it. I've no idea why the gauge doesn't work when pumping the LE - maybe the valve acts differently. I' be grateful if anyone can confirm these pressures and if there's a good way of judging correct LE pressure without a gauge. Oh - and if anyone knows a good kite repair place on the South Coast that would be good as some of the LE stitching is going and allowing the bladder to bulge. Cheers all, Paul
  23. That sounds like it would be OK then. I've recently bought 1st gen Instincts (9m and 12m) but have also yet to fly them due to lack of the blowy stuff. Maybe after work on Friday
  24. Cool - do you use that board in most conditions? Bit concerned that it might limit me to high winds only. Not sure how much difference I'd notice between a 135 and a 130.
  25. Hi guys, So I've got the basics nailed (water starts, upwind both directions, small jumps) and want to get an intermediate board. I currently ride a 148x38 (not sure of the make/model) which is a bit old and knackered, although I'll keep it for light wind riding. I've pretty much decided on the '07 Nobile 555 - but which size? Do I play it safe with the 135 or go down to the 130? I'm 5'11" and 13st and would like a board 'for all conditions' as much as that can be achieved. The other factor to consider is that my better half is learning and finds the 148 too much, so the new board should be OK for her to learn on as well. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers Paul
