  1. high there boys and girls anyone out there willing to share their tips about ainsdale with me? am heading out there on sunday monday and tuesday. im looking to find out which tides are the best to go out in. is it possible to go out on both tides? what is the current like there? how busy does it get during the week? i think the most important info id like is from a safty point of view. im a beginner to water riding so the more info i can get about the place the better.
  2. i have a flexifoil storm III 12m to trade for a similarly used kite around the 9m size range. kite is in reasonable condition. the usual bumps and bruses but still a good solid kite that flys like a deamon on drugs!!! am sitting with 2 12m kites at the mo so i need to get rid of one and get something a little smaller for the stronger winds. get hold of me if you are interested... grantduplessis@gmail.com or 07919260288
  3. check out this site http://www.kentkitesurfingclub.co.uk/index.html click on the good spots link on the left of the page. its got some great info for kent side. not bad spots for after work sessions.
  4. thanks for all the help and advice guys. you have all come up with some great ideas and advice.. keep em coming tho..
  5. well it would seem that the gower is rather a popular choice. can anyone tell me more about it? which are the best beaches? whats rthe camping like? any website suggestions?
  6. ive been given a reprieve by my wife and by my employer and have been released on my own recognisance for a week or so starting next monday and am looking for good places to go kitesurfing and camping. am basically looking for a quiet spot to get down to a week of "soul (kite)surfing" without the worries of domestic life. ive been kiteing on land for a few years now and have recently done a few lessons to cross over to water riding. "went an got me own kit an all". im looking for what might be the impossible.... the mythical spot all newbies dream of.. i want to find a spot that is rideable in multiple wind directions and tides, not crowded, reasonably shallow and with little or no waves that would be considered a good safe spot to learn on your own. i plan on camping as well and would be looking for a decent non-chav-infested campsite nearby. Im hoping to find this mythic place either on the southern or western coast of this lovely little island we all call home. anyone out there got any ideas????
  7. high ther kids!!! im based up in stoke-on-trent and am looking for a place to learn to kitesurf up this side of the world. been flying landboards for about 3 years and have bought myself a surf setup and am looking for a school up this end of the world. can anyone help?
  8. anyone know whats the best time of day to kitesurf off hayling island? am heading there tomorrow. anyother info from somone knowing the arrea would be welcome too.
  9. what is your budget? i have loads of friends who wouldnt mind helping out and looking around back home for me and getting it for you at south african prices. current exchange rate is about £1 to R12 which means that if you are patient you can get a bargain. like i say tho, you tell me your budget and ill find you a suit also gonna need your size and what thickness you want. if it helps at all to convince you, i got a custom made 5/4 wetsuit about a year ago taylored specificaly for me for £200 so you can imagion what the off the shelf prices are.
  10. Ripcurl !!!! ive been surfing bodyboarding and diving off the coast of south africa with their suits since i was 12 years old. if you use and abuse it at least 5 out of 7 days it should last at least 4-6 years. they are sewn and glued so they are super strond and flexible.
  11. is there a website out there that gives a comprehensive list of ALL or as many as possible of the kitesurf spots in the uk that gives a good description of the area, best wind conditions, lay of the land etc if so what is it. if not who's gonna help me get one up and running?
  12. anyone know any good websites where i can get a cheap reasonable second hand impact vest, maby a wakeboarding forum like this one?
  13. yes to both Q's, moose, that is exactly the board and to harry yes unfortunatly i have been bumb enough to buy a 12m storm III (they say im not the brightest bulb in the box but i sure do burn a lot of pretty colours). am also getting a naish X2 12m which i plan on swaping for somthing in the 9m range.
  14. i weigh a stagering 80kg
