Any repairs/damage to the VR8? Is the zip still fully functioning? You have pm!

May well be interested if you've still got them.. Does the V5 zip down any smaller? I was under the impression that all viokites were depowerable- both the ones I owned were! I know the wingwarp system improves the depowerability of them, but can you clarify that they're fixed bridle? If you've got any pics, can you send them to me at hughes.oliver@googlemail.com Cheers!

Ok, the time has come for me to accept that I live nowhere near the coast and don't have the time these days to make it there often enough.. I've thought long and hard, but have to finally face the decision that it's not happening any longer So my entire kit'n'kaboodle is up for sale. I've listed prices to include postage, but sensible offers will be considered on the larger items! I will PM me if you're interested.. Kites PL Venom 1 10m - mint condition, no damage/repairs, red/orange, c/w collapsible spars, rucksack and PL strap to pack kite, £240. (Kite only, but there's plenty of bars to choose from below! Also solid carbon spars for spares below.) Flysurfer Spirit 10m - good condition, some discolouration, complete and F/S bag with obligatory seized zips on the side pockets, £190. Flysurfer Titan 12.5 - excellent condition, some discolouration, very little use, even the bag zips haven't seized! Complete and with manual/CD, £240. Viokite 17m, zips down to 14m - tatty condition, (discoloured, one repair from previous owner, some wear but flyable). Complete in bag, £70. Board Litewave 136 (red/black) - some scratches on edges, bombproof, durasurf etc, etc. £135. (See for bag below.) Bars Maui Magic 17" carbon bar - some obvious signs of wear but usable, complete setup (QR C/loop, adjustable trim strap, safety, leash and colour coded 23m lines), £40. GK 22" bar setup - excellent condition, hardly used, no leash included but everything else (QR C/loop, adjustable trim strap, safety mechanism with leash attachment point, floats) and 25m colour coded lines, £45. EH 17" bar setup - obvious signs of use but plenty of life left, with 'ohsh**' handles, QR C/loop, adjustable trim strap and centre hole leash line, £35. Maui Magic (retro) aluminium 30" bar - 2 (short) colour coded leader lines only, ideal for flying huge blades on X-over system! £10. Bits Dakine Pyro waist harness, 2007/8, black, size M, with spreader bar and pad, £45. Typhoon watersports helmet, unused, size M (56-57), olive green, £20. Naish "chicken stick", unused, £7. Solid carbon spars for 10m Venom - spares/replacement, £5. Phew! (Requests for photo's by PM, but won't be able to do them until the weekend...)

Frakke, Thanks again - tons more useful stuff! Really looking forward to the trip now! Was going to check out the flattish area between Tegefjallsomradet and Ulladalsomradet, beyond the x-country tracks on the plateau, away from all the big red arrows!! If not, the lake looks like a good option..!

Can you fly on Finmere?? I take it you mean the old air strip out the back of the sunday market site alongside the dual carriage way?? Not sure it would be great as the few times I have looked closely it was a mixture of broken hard surface and shoddy grass, also from memmory are there not power/telegraph line running the length of it?? I thought Bicester airfield no longer issued kite memberships as there was too much agro between gliders and kiters - but could be wrong. And MK to Hunstanton is about 2:15 hrs Day ticket on the Newport Pagnell site is £5 for traction - talk to Alex @ Kite planet/Roy Pink Cycles and he will give you the low down. You're probably right on all three accounts - only driven past finmere so never had a proper look.. Got told about the Bicester airfield by a local non-kiter who walks dogs there - will enquire further when the longer evenings kick in.. 2.15hrs to hunny - that's definitely worth considering!!

Rob, Just south of Buckingham. Was going to try Finmere? aerodrome. If not, there's an airfield near Bicester that does cheap memberships.. Water, at this time of year?! Really must invest in one of them drysuit thingys.. How long's the trek to Norfolk?

For all you arc fans out there, I'm selling my beloved 17m Vortex, and just in time for the summer (provided we get one this year!)! It's a couple of years old and in perfect condition, having been flown half a dozen times max. Didn't get a chance to use it last year at all and it doesn't look like I'll get a chance this year to give it the flying time it deserves, so am looking to sell to someone who will put it to better use! Kite is red and blue and comes with rucsack, DVD, manual and take down alloy spars. (no bar!!) I'm looking for £300 because of the excellent condition.
