  1. Received my B3 4.9, but although > 20 mph, couldn't wait to try it, being fully aware of the risks. So used a rope of 30 ft to secure myself to a fixed point, and when I finally managed to get it flying, I was explosively lifted a few seconds later in the center of the window. And the almost new rope to secure myself was partially broken ! An experience I'll never forget (especially the moment when I looked down when the kite had lifted my to the length of the rope), and I was lucky because I had no fysical injuries, but those kind of experiences definitely make you distrust your kite. The fysical danger has been stressed many, many times already. But don't underestimate the psychological effects: adrenaline is OK, but if your adrenaline already starts flowing if you just think about unpacking your kite, you've definitely passed a border with your previous attempts. Be patient, and WAIT for low winds when trying your new kite.
  2. Maybe the kite is of the wrong brand The reason they keep ******* is of course they've marked their territory, smell it the next day, and mark it again. You're still relatively lucky - a dog had the idea to remove my crown jewels while I was concentrating on my kite in high winds... More practical - try a spray that's used to keep pets away from furniture. Nowadays, those sprays are not based on chemicals anymore but on etheric oils, and if those sprays can be used on furniture, good chance they won't damage your kite. Good luck, Geurt
