  1. I'm saying nothing about Fatima Sports, I could get sued for slander! The best bet for you is to get down to the beach and speak to the guys and gals. There are loads of people selling kites - I sell Caution and Flysurfer, you can also get North, Gaastra, Wipika, Takoon, F-one all at good prices, got to say my prices and products are the best though!! A good forum to check out http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/DubaiKiteClub/?yguid=136074758 Cheers Dave
  2. Not lucky at all!! There are now 180 registered kitesurfers in Dubai and they are limited to one small stretch of beach. OK they are not all out together but it gets pretty crowded! The beach is just up from the famous Burg AL Arab hotel. Get in touch with Jacob for lessons when you get here, he's based in Abu Dhabi but will meet you in Dubai, or alternatively take a trip down to AD it's alot less crowded, his mobile is 050-5626383.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, I set it up this afternoon as per my original set up but on a shorter bar. I've got two meter leaders on it with a line going straight across the top af the brake line leaders, attached to the center of that is a line coming down through the hole in the bar to my spinning wichard, I let go of the bar and the kite puts on the brakes. As a WCS safety I've got a quick release harness line from one of my mates. I havn't tried the kite on the water since I was learning three years ago and had to swim back too many times, looking forward to the next 20 knot session!!
  4. Hi Any advise/ideas on setting up a bar for my Blade 4.9? I've seen a few foils with a pulley system to the chicken loop for depowering a bit, would it be useful with the Blade. I've got a bar on it now set with the brakes on the ends and the power lines about five inches each side of center, maybe this is the best way to go. Any advise will be welcome, especially for the safety! I'm riding LEI's right now and pretty happy with them but I'm thinking about getting a Psycho2, the reports are more than good but is it really going to turn as fast as my Caution Spitfire (on a dime or what!!)? Thanks Dave
