  1. yeah i usually fly on sandy beaches but i havnt contacted flexi yet cos i just wanted to check if anyone else had any similar incidents. cheers P
  2. hi there, i have storm2 18 and 12. i have both of them less than a year and i just noticed today on the 18 that there is a 10 inch tear beside one of the battens near the trailing edge that has obviously been caused by rubbing of the seam on the batten. another batten has a 3inch tear. the 18 has not been used that much and i'm not happy that this is happening already as the kite has not been abused at all and has been really well taken care of. the 12m has been used a lot more and there is some tears starting to occur in the same places but nowhere near as bad as the 18. i can put some dracon strips into the areas of wear on the 12 to stop it getting any worse but i dont think that after spending that much money on the 18 i should have to start patching it myself after so little use. flexifoil replaced a bladder on the 12m without question due to a problem they were encountering and i was impressed with the service. has anyone else had the same problems with wear and tear and did flexi replace the kite or what? btw i love these kites and think they are the dogs diddlies.
