  1. Hi All I have been having a problem with my 3m Blade III on the last 2 outings. I set it up and all lines are straight with no tangles. When I launch it, it goes straight into a clockwise spin. I usually fly with the brake lines on the 2nd knot. Today I did some experimenting and tried the brake lines on the very end, nearest me, and it launched fine with no problems, although I felt I had a little less control on the brakes than I normally like. When I finnished I checked the lines and found that the left brake line has become 2 to 3 inches longer than the right, so am thinking that this could be causing the clock wise rotation on launch ?? Any help much appreaciated. Big John
  2. Hi All Just to say thanks to everyone for their messages. She opted for the Big Buzz in the end, just bought it today and she was flying it on Gog Magog Down in cambridge withing the hour. She absolutely loves it and was more than powerful enough to pull/drag her along in a medium wind. Speak to you all soon Big John & Christina
  3. Hi All Just wanted to pose this question. My girlfriend has fallen in love with my kites as well as me,, BONUS. She really wants a little kite of her own and I was looking at the BIG Buzz as a one for her to learn the basics on. She has had a go with my proteam 8 and my 3m Blade III, although she found that too much as she is only 5.2 tall and weighs 47kg. Anyone had any good or bad things to say about the Big Buzz ?? Big John
  4. Thanks for all the post guys. It has reinforced what common sense was already telling me. Take it easy and build up skill very slowly. Once I get to the point of getting air/jumping, how and what is the safest way to go about it. What are these pendulum jumps I hear so much about. Big J
  5. Hi All Just a question. What would people recommend as the maximum safe wind speed for flying. I have a recently bought a 3m Blade III. Wind here today is averageing 35mph and gusting above that. I have decided thats too much for me today and have stayed in doors, might take my proteam 8 out though. What do people think/suggest. Big John:eek:
  6. Hi All Despite all the postings you never learn until your kite bites you. Just been out flying my new 3m Blade III. Was ok yesterday in 5-10mph winds. Today they are up around the 20mph mark. Got picked up a few feet, dumped onto the ground and then dragged along the ground for about 30 yards before my brain thought, oh yeah kite killers, and let go. All good fun though and nothing more than bruises and some washing to do. My god these things pull hard. Do the muscles in your hands get used to it ?? Hope your all having a good days flying Big J

Hi Folks Just got my first Blade III today. A 3m one. Flew it straight away in very light winds. Really suprised at how easy it was to launch and fly. Flys slow compaired to my proteam 8 but pulls really hard and that was in wind of no more than 10mph. Does anyone have any tips or hints that would be good for a newcommer to the Blade family, like getting air (more importantly how to avoid it to start with) Big J
  8. Just to add to my last. I am a rather large chap at 6'4" and a little over 18 stone so don't expect to be picked off the floor too often. I think I have narrowed the choices (why do budgets have to get in the way?) down to either a 3m Blade III or a 3.5m Blade. What do people think ? Big John
  9. Hi All Been flying my Pro Team 8 for nearly a year now and want to move up to a 4 line kite, either a Blade or Bullet. What can people suggest/sizes. Big John
