What's the wind like?

Happy days. I am going to be in Hong Kong on the 10th December and then I can have a week out to Thailand after that. Question is where is the best place to go? I'm not 100% convinced about the wind. Tarifa, Brazil, Cape Verde, DR, Fuerte, Cyprus in season you know it is going to blow most days but is Thailand reliable? http://www.kitethailand.com/thailand-kite-surfing.html Can anyone help me out?

That's who i use, but you don't know if they are any good till you try and claim! Never had to so who knows. They are 3rd party, medical and £500 of stolen which my house insurance won't cover. Why I don't know cause the kites are a lot less "nickable" than the ipod / telly.

Anyone been kiting here? I'n thinking of going late december / jan. Also hitting Chumpion on the way? Can't find much info. I've been kiting for about four years so pretty happy so long as the wind is pumping.

I went with extreme about 4 years ago. The rib wasn't working then either!!! Not wanting to judge them too much on teaching etc. But we did waste a lot of time on the land when we could have been on the water. My kite flying was excellent already but we spent two days on the land. Also are they still using sovento to teach? When I went they were not allowed to teach at flag and sovento is about an 1 hour drive to get there from coreljo each way which sucked. I was fairly cheap though.

kind of off topic but here's a myspace type site with loads of people who kitesurf, snowboard etc. There's some pro kitesurfers on too plus a tonne of people in the industry.
