1. Cheers for the feedback guys, bought a Gul Astro this week - see new thread for my review
2. I know - another bloomin drysuit thread! Have seen these astro's for £235, http://www.wetsuitoutlet.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=28_70&products_id=604 they look crackin but can't seem to get any reviews or comparisons with the OR suits. Are the Pyro pro's worth the extra? Do gulls have that seal problem? Any info guys cheers Pete
3. Cheers col, do you use atom with 5th line? and if so, is the 4 line flexi bar for ion upgradable? cheers pete
4. Anyone have any info on kitesurfing in Bulgaria? I have seen stuff on Burgas on the net, but does anyone have tales to tell, whats the wind like etc. I have bought property in one of the ski resorts and maybe looking at buying near the black sea if conditions are good. cheers Pete
5. Same thing happened today - went to Aber with my 12 and as i arrived ther were guys being blown up the dunes! I need that 7
6. Finally given in to the fact that my 12m ion is to big for high winds (after spending most of last session hovering six inches above the water and coming in with a severe case of armpit hyperextension:eek: )! Was looking at Ion 7m, but the Atoms are the same price. - so what is the difference, whats all this 'not a replacement but a sister kite' talk about. It looks the same to me apart from the very welcome 5th line attachment. Any thoughts?
7. I've had me ion 12 since July now and only not been able to use it on one occasion (30mph+). I would love another size, but i just can't justify the cost/use ratio. Hopefully things will be different in winter.
8. Cheers Col Sounds like a nice cheap solution Will ring surfstore and try the airush way Last kite was a lift 11.5 - I wish I,d kept the bar it was so smooth to power/depower. but I assumed that they were all alike (Fool)! May PM you for further advice when it all goes Birds Nest! thanks Peter
9. Hi folks Am havin trouble with my Cabrinha Powerdrive Bar, de-powering is no problem by pulling the black strap thingy but powering up is a mare cos I can't reach the plastic hoop thingy let alone flick it upwards away from myself. And before you ask my arms are of a normal length. Also if i am to buy a new bar could anyone recommend a full spinning setup that would be compatable with Cabrinha Access kites. I am assuming that 4 lines have to be equal (please correct me if wrong on that point) Cheers Peter
10. Surely the way forward is a PKSF stika for the board with the current year printed on it. Memberships changed to run Jan-Dec Like the surfboard ones you have to stick on your stick in some snobby Cornwall beaches:D Rash vests are 2 expensive and you only have to be a member once to get one, plus wouldn't fit impacts, drysuits or FB's:eek:
11. Any idea what dates?
12. Did you check out Jard, I am going there 29th and am wondering if the local windsurfing beach there is kite friendly (for beginners) any info on the general area would help cheers pete
13. Hmmm - not quite the quality that is going to stop me breaking one every time I go out but thanks for the input;) where do I get a wipy or slingy one?
14. I seem to be snapping somthing off a pump every time I go out, does anyone Know of a UK stockist of NSI pumps and are they any stronger than the paddling pool type that are the bain of my life!
15. Thanks Guys:D
16. I have recently recieved my PKSA membership/insurance card but no paperwork as yet. Can anyone tell me if the insurance is valid in France? thanks Peter
17. This guy was asking about a beginners kite whats wrong with a Cabrihna Access? I sold my Airush Lift cos I was havin a mare learning with it, now bought access 7 & 12m and they are so super stable that I am up and havin fun straight away. Im sure I will outgrow them but you can buy '03,s so cheap now (my 12 was 399 all in) that you can get all you want out of them and then ebay them for only a small loss, by then you will know exactly what you want. Why struggle with a monster when learning? - its supposed to be fun or am I just a poof?
18. I have a Da Kine impact harness which was a staggering 150 quid Its plenty buoyant thou and well comfortable (being vest and harness all in one unit) Just saw one on ebay looks mint for £70 Bargain (gutted) check it out (sorry dont have ebay number) cheers pete
19. Cheers mate not looking for massive surf just yet though:eek: - did you go to Jard Sur Mer I've heard its good for sailing & windsurfing so perhaps the conditions are good for kitesurfing too?
20. Planning a family oriented "holiday" to Les Sables in early Sept. Can anyone tell me what the conditions there are like and what areas are best for beginners? Also are there any english speaking locals there if I still need lessons by then! (cant seem to find anything on the net) Cheers Pete

dog

Some guys stupid mutt chased me up and down the beach for 4 runs untill I eventually had to stop because the fecker was snappin at my heels. The owner could not get the dog back to him so I stood there with B4.9 stretching my arms above my head (as they do!) You feel awfull exposed in this position! The guy still couldent get his dog off me so he suggested that he take the kite while I grab his dog for him!!!!!!!! I try to give wide berth and all consideration toall other beach users but sometimes there is nowt you can do when faced with clueless drongos - they are the types that are going to get us restricted for beach access!
24. Nice wind charts - any chance of the bomba being included? By the way why is a Guerilla inadvisable for land use?
25. My Blade 3 4.9 is for sale - check the for sale forum £235 It gets me going at 8mph (75kg) and I put it away after 16-17mph due to elongated arm syndrome :D I am selling it to buy a guerilla de-powerable to make the transition from land to water and have a kite for both but these will be out of your price range at about 550 quid good luck pete
