read that GOLDMIDDLEMAN !! I had my kit, was working in Neath Port Talbot Hospital...but thanks to your 'im an only child' attitude I gave in to your whims and headed to 'gennith instead. And for what I ask !!! Poxy no wind, a lot of petrol and time, when all along the wind was on my doorstep !!! lesson learnt for the final time. Get some pretend siblings you spoilt ******* !!! :D

mate - i think i was as dispondent upon arriving to no wind - hence i stood there with arms folded staring into space whilst my mate gave his 12m a go... LOL we're a moody bunch when the wind doesnt turn up eh !!!!! oh well - at least I missed the rugby....

it comes down to wind at the end of the day - when there isnt quite enough I tend to blame my kites !!! but with hindsight and a good session in the future you do realise that beneath a mimimum level of wind you simply cannot have a good time kitsurfing - finding that minimum is important so that you dont waste your efforts - and for me, even on an ION15m its about 14mph. On my Boxer2 16m that rises to at least 16mph, but ideally 18mph to give you a comparison. im 13 1/2 stone, riding a very small (120) joyrider which has no flotation qualities.

bollox indeed matey !!! Great forecast, went to Gennith on Friday and pembrey on Saturday (I think we got there as you were leaving ?? Two Ions - one rasta 12m one blue 15m) Hopeless is an understatement !!! Yet the measurements were still showing 21mph across the region. Sometimes i just dont get it...these bouys must be miles offshore and elevated 200m high i reckon.... To cop it all I played footie on Sunday - got trounced in the semi finals and ruptured my groin muscles so am now out of commision for the next 3-4 weeks AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!

that kite looks like mine when it ripped to shreds whilst in Surfers paradise about 1/2 mile out in a swarm of friggin bluebottles (first time 5th line wrapped around kite just before power up time). Staying calm is mos def the only advice and its good advice. (the repair man sorted kite out completely - all for 30 bucks !!!)

Hey Jim - I hear you !! (ie the swell at swansea bay) My house looks out over the bay / mumbles / gower and I have NEVER seen a swell like its been over the past few weeks - unreal for swansea bay. I can only imagine what it must have been like down gennith (work and travel means I have been out just once this year ARRRRRRRRgGGGGGGGGGHHHHhhhhhhhhhh) Poles - only visible at extreme low tide, afetr walking through grannies pudding, so not too much to worry about (grannys pudding is much worse !!!) Look forward to bumping into all you flexi threaders down swansea / broughton / gennith and beyond during the coming months !!! Bring it onnnnnnnnnnnn

judging by all the recent threads from the ainsdale massive, you clearly should be in IRAQ fighting the enemy cos you dont half give out some passionately aggressive energies...... yeah the council should sort those frigging poles out - especially if the bay is being pitched as a watersport haven (god that makes me laugh)... The accident u had Jim was unfortunate - would probably rip whatever you woulda been wearing. Drysuits are membraine based - so think of a tough waterproof jack and thats the material. Still havent used mine though so cant honestly say whats its like but I am expecting great things in terms of day after sessions and warmth in our freezing waters (not that my wetsuit is bad at all - never feel the cold in that either - but changing afterwards in the bloody car park is a killer !!)

maybe you could look at the economics of producing a kite for £30 and selling it for £900? You could put a piece in the appendices about how bars now cost £300 when they used to be £50. Now that would be a great read... good luck fella. I think the injury topic would an excellent one to follow in all seriousness - ainsdale wouldnt need to worry 'cos it would have to be anonimous anyway.

yes - I'm the mate...and let me tell you this only child who sways way towards the FAT over MUSCLE never once let me change 1st, let alone inside his van..which convinced me to buy one too. Went for the pyro pro looks awesome but unlike goldmiddleman I do not own half of bulgaria and my masters do not allow for me to swaray off at the drop of a hat to follow lifes pleasures. see ya soon SYM !!
