    40m lines?

I use 60M Lines on my smaller blades, (Never used a stacker though) and they seem to get alot faster! Possibly an optical illusion but they also seem to pull more, my favourite is on the 2M as it becomes completely mad and great fun.. I got the lines from cuttingedge kites http://cuttingedgekites.com/laserpro1.htm
  2. HEllo Feopathy. I recently went through the routine of putting my 7.8 BII on a bar with 4 lines. I found it quite frustrating getting the right amount of brake to be set on the kite and I joined the lines just before the bar. The length of the lines are far more critical than when you are using handles and I was quite amazed at the difference in line lengths that I had compensated for whilst using handles! Must have stretched as I was sure they were the same length. Anyway I never really was happy withit on the bar and went back to handles! If I do it again I will connect the lines at the kite end. The 7.8 turns pretty slow on handles but seems alot slower on a bar..Only my Humble experience..
  3. High jinx. You are a mindreader
  4. I think its 15 squid P+P because he is sending you the whole 10.5 back? I am tempted as it says its all done internally. i was hoping to hear about it on this forum.
  5. WOW 8.5 in 22MPH! must be scary cause my 4.9 BII in 25Mph is! and thats my kite I will never get rid off! Because its so much fun.
  6. Ah hah. Dmb please excuse my ignorance. If it does not compromise the brakes then i guess I will have to have a look at it. Thanks for that advice, I guess it should not be too hard to locate a set. or maybe figure it out and make some? I really need to use the 10.5 more than I have.
  7. Thankyou For that input oc1rob WRT 10.5 / 8.5 Differences, I will certainly give it a go, but I am contemplating getting an 8.5. Might even get a new one...
  8. Thanks for the Advice, To the_lone_wolf, I am certainly no expert but I needed a kite for low winds as here the temperature is such that I am only comfortable using my kites after 5PM and usually the winds are not much. If the 8.5M is alot more responsive then I will get one. Luckily winter is coming so I should then be able to hack it in the early afternoon when the winds are pretty good. To daZZa-S. No I have heard the cross overs help the turning but do strange things if you need to dump the kite on the deck! Maybe I need a bigger turning circle so should I get some 60M lines
  9. Hi. Everyone in Flexifoil kite land? I aquired a Blade III 10.5 some time back, I am not entirely happy with its sloth like attitude in turns and ungracefull launch! Once its in the air and flying across the window its beautifull and scary. However I hear so many good words written on this forum about the BIII 8.5, my question is for anyone out there who has experience of both, is the 8.5 so much better for recreational/static flying, I have a blade II 7.8 and that does not seem so much better at turning than the 10.5, is it me ? I must admit I am the only recreational flyer here so I can not ask anyone for advice? Is the Blade III a Blade/Kite too far?
  10. Yeah some T@#T in a landcruiser ran mine over on the beach last weekend!

    Blade IV

Come on then lets have some "new names for the "Blade IV" How about "Laser" cause its sharper than a blade or "Black bag" because it flies better in low winds.

    Blade IV

Hi . I have two marine foils that I use for recreational flying, they are far superior at not folding on turns in light winds than my blades and that is, I think because the vents actually close ie with valves, surely if the vents kept open then the kite will fold easier? If they found a way to have an option to turn the valves on and off it would be great as they are quite a pain to inflate initially. But are great once the kites up in the air and flying. infact they are such a pain that I inflate them (marine foils) with a fan from computer case and takes about 5-10 mins.
  13. Best take them back then!
  14. I think All my kites lines vibrate and whistle when the wind gets up, but to me it usually means "stand by for action!" Never really thought about it as a problem...Never heard the lines on the Blade III 10,5 whistle though...Wonder why!
  15. Well explained! I guess it makes sense, I will give the idea a go but maybe the Snatch and Bang factor plus confidence will keep the bigger lines in use!
