    Has anyone tried axle extensions as an alternative to shelling out for a wide axle? Is it a recipe for disaster ? I expect threaded bar would be dodgy, but what about getting stainless steel bar turned down and threaded/tapped at each end to fit onto existing axle and take normal wheel bolt? Need to move wide wheels further away from my arms and this seems like a possible option. Any comments welcome!!
