  1. it rocks, the 06 XL because of the sharp rail I can nearly still hold as much power as my 04 small model 128x37. The 2 things I really noticed is it plains easily in low winds 10knts on my 16m rhino and stay up wind. But also when landing tricks/jumps if you come in with to little power it stops you from sinking unlike on the small board I have. Also the flex to stop that slap in the chop helps alot. Took it to kenya for 2 weeks, no problem in the flat or out on the reefs in the swell. (I will say im 11.5 stone so slightly lighter) but try before you buy thanks,
  2. Dude, Van sounds cool, something out of Cheech & Chong! Run to the sun? No, Kite to the bud! keep us posted on the dates, im sure more heads will follow. cheers, BP www.blondeair.co.uk

I know they have promo dvd, so you can see before u buy. thanks BP

  8. hi, Trying to find out where you can kitesurf in the north of ireland. I known i will be staying in some village about 1hr east of portrush but have 8 days to explore the north part. Happy to ride in both wave and flat water conditions. Is there any shops worth calling into to get local info etc. thks, BP:)
  9. all the above, i do not disagree, but if you have got a weeks holiday in the uk for kiting at this time of year have a look at the isle of tiree. scotland. I have not been but planning to in next 6 weeks. However from my reading and seeing photos I think you will not be disappointed, and more than likely to have some constant wind which you can sail in any direction because its an island. i know theres a school there so contact them, for more info. thks, BP
  10. henry, 5 miles north up from biscorrosse plage is a pipeline that goes out to sea you can see it on clear days, a kite beach is 1km north of that. Head north towards dune de pyla, and turn off for les salles. This is the kiting beach the swell is alot less than here but still good wave riding, pm me your address and i'll post you blondeair's promo dvd on biscorrose plage and lake 4 kite/wake/surf. www.blondeair.co.uk normally are out there but this season only doing specific weeks. Im glad Tweak you had good session by the sounds of it. I know the main biscorrosse can be a bit of hassel trying to get out as it does get big there!!! enjoy! BP:)
  11. dude, I have had many good reports about kenya and seen a dvd on the location, a few are considering this in january. cost not much more than other destinations overall including food, but wind stats look quality, but a wakeboard boat if sh*t happens no wind! send me a message and i'll tell you more. thks, BP
  12. hi ya, as your driving down, check out the weather charts, before leaving and you can always call into Biscorrosse, april/may/june and sept/oct are the best months for wind, but as you are going at the end of month i assume? and past check out the lake at biscorrosse and the wave spot at les sallies about 8km up the road. Last year i had wind every day over a ten day period in sept. send me a message with address and I can post you a full blondeair dvd of the location both lake and sea. totally free. I know some of the locals make a 4hr journey to the south coast to a place begging with P, im not even going to try to spell it, but they say it blows at least 4 days a week. I know its nr the spanish boarder. If you have room take a surf board as there's some quality breaks along the coast with wicked camping sunsets/sunrises parties etc............ anyway happy travels and enjoy! BP
  13. Have a week off in sept and trying to decide either a week in the van on the west coast of wales, or the train/ferry to tiree? please let me know whats spots at both already know Newgale. And for tiree and cheap places to stay including camping as long as theres a hot shower. thanks, BP:D
  14. hi, just got back from 2 weeks in naxos with 10 days of wind. i can not comment on the strike but what a kite the toro 05 8m and 10m both are on the 5th line. Myself 11.5 st and the missis 9.5st both loved them really stable and great depower but more so the 10m. we took with us our 8.5m matrix04 which we did not bother with and the 12m vagas which got used 50% of the time by myself. My missus was using the 8m/10m all the time. we have decided to sell the matrix 8.5 and my 16m matrix and get a 16m toro. try and get yourself to a shop to demo both of the kites, goodluck, BP:D
  15. saw the title, im off to naxos for the 1st time in july can not wait but also try keyna i know thats a top quality place and with the buget you mentioned, I know I would give it some thought. Top quality hotels and wind stats 90% thanks, BP shapeshifter will give you an update when i get back, thanks for all the help, if you are ever in london town give us a shout.
  16. to SLIDETH4 yes there is accomodation in the chalete at the moment, spoke with the guys down there. send them a mail goodluck and enjoy, BP:rolleyes:
  17. location:Biscorrosse 45mins SW of bordeaux, between surf spots of lacanau and mimizan. west coast france getting there: fly to bordeaux or biarittz ryanir/ba/flybe or train london waterloo/paris eurostar then TGV from Paris (6hrs) or drive 10-12hrs. send me a personal message with your email address and I can send you one of their video clips mpeg they sent me. thks, BP:rolleyes:
  18. All, I have been kiting down there for 4yrs, its a great place look at my other posts. Have helped theses guys in the past when down there. They have a large range of kit from North/Wipika. I know for a fact that their holidays start at £350 for a week not £200, but it does included everything except food and flight, but with ryaniar/flybe you can get down there from little as £60 or eurostar (£99 return). Im returning there back in sept for two weeks, to catch the sunset sessions down there, pure quality. The best thing to do is contact them direct to get the full info, nice 1# BP;)
  19. Call into KTS (Kitesurf Tarifa School), at top of hill as you come down from malaga. Owner Daniele is a top chap, we had the same last year F6-F7, took us of to a few small locations with only about 15-20 kiters which is pretty rare in Tarifa. he will tell you whats happening weather/where to head for along the coast and speaks really good english. you will need a car if wanting head further a field. Check out the smoothie bar in town as well always good after a night out! enjoy, BP
  20. Has anyone tried or got advice on how to attach a camcorder to your lines/kite so you can film while sailing? Thinking of giving it a go on the 16m when on holiday. thanks, BP:rolleyes:
  21. Not to sure where the place is you mentioned, but if its on the west coast theres a few lacs. I know for sure the one in biscorrosse you can kite April till Oct no problem, 45mins from bordeaux from another post: If you are down there check out the Blondeair location on the lake at Biscorrosse and on the sea at les sallie. Its about a 1.5-2hr drive south from la tranche and a better location I think personally. Both locations only 6miles apart so great flat water location on lake and wave riding on the sea. I have been visiting for the last 4 years still a very unused location mamimum of 15 kites out on a windy day. You can do 2-3mile down winders in only 4ft water 300m of the lake shore, Quality! Its perfect for all abilities but more so for complete begginers and intermediates. Also www.blondeair.co.uk have a wakeboard boat so if its not windy wake on complete glass water or go for surf at biscorrosse plage. I have just got back I'm back down in september for a 2 week session! if not before. enjoy, BP;)
  22. Hi, I know www.Blondeair.co.uk run kitesurf and wakeboard in biscorrosse but not in July/Aug because winds not great and everyman and dog on holiday through out europe. However I know theres a local guy his names Brono he rides down at the lake in biscorrosse and teachs french students. He drives an old 4x4 sandy green jeep and teachs down there, he about 6ft 3 tall and has a black short hair. speaks english ok and operates in a safe manner and enviroment Possibly worth a visit on a windy day. Also theres another established school called Kitetoo or kitoo something like this search the web for them. good luck have a good holiday its a beautiful area and a great place to kite:)
