  1. Tried out the Port Solent site yesterday. Pretty pants really! Might work in a West or North Wresterley but Was sheltered from tjhelight Southerly yesterday by the tree line and the fact that it slopes, which i did not realise until i got onto it.
  2. I don't know of any rules at Wittering about just flying kites! Can you imagine the headlines in the local paper :-)
  3. Climping beach, golf course end, long but not very deep. Only workd 1.5 to 2 hours either side of low tide and in a dead sout or north wind. Any traction kiting at wittering now totally regulated. even kitesurfers must produce insurance etc. ATB's, same rules as buggies.
  4. There is an area in front of the Port Soent complex that is used for buggying although I have not tried it myself. Have not tried Southsea common either West Wittering is off limits unless you are a member. This is now being enforced as members have to wear membership vests so that they can be easilly identified, also registartion numbers must be shown, helmets worn and valid insurance in place. Also, buggying is totally banned there from early April until late September.
  5. Thanks, map would be great. Just thought you could try climping. Park in the car p[ark just past Littlehampton golf club. Very long but nott too deep so only works 1.5 to 2 hours either side of low tide and a dead on shore or off shore wind (north or south) Sand a bit soft at the estuary end but soon hardens up
  6. There is somewhere I have been told about on the London Road just north of Brighton but I never went there and cannot remember anything else :-( I am interested in the place you mention at Gosport as I am about 45 minutes closer to there than you. There is the area at Port Solent which I keep meaning to try but it is very wet at the moment.
  7. What is best/most economical for recording buggy speed. I have been recomended a GPS unit. Are their any running costs associated with these?
