    thanks geoffers heh i bet theres not many here any more who know about the Stroppies OK we need to get the method sorted for the contributions - the sucata fundraising guide recommends justgiving.com which does exactly this kind of thing and has sucata & gemin-i already affiliated with it. The donations would also get uk-taxpayer 'gift aid' if paid in that way. Their sytem accepts debit and credit cards, and paypal too, so no need for a separate paypal account. And all the money is paid by justgiving.com straight to gemin-i on our behalf, so you can be assured that scud isnt having that much-needed cosmetic surgery with the proceeds

    omg what have i done, a banger rally to portugal with scudders i must be mad the charity is gemin-i, for technology based education for kids around the world : http://www.sucatarun.com/index.php/gemin-i and http://www.gemin-i.org/ the sucata run proceeds are for a malaria awareness campaign, and each £1000 will pay for 5 schools from around the world to take part in the project, take a looksie at the links. if you need to know what malaria is and does, try these : world health organisation http://apps.who.int/malaria/wmr2008/ wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaria like scudders said, we buy the car and insure it, pay fuel, accomodation and any other expenses - it is after all a holiday, so we foot the bill. So everything contributed in sponsorship all goes to the charity.

    fear not - the weather forecast for sunday will change at least 4 times between now and then By the weekend it will be wall-to-wall sunshine, and 15 to 20mph clean onshore. Cos I say it will I think tides are good for through til mid afternoon - high at 6am, low at 1.20pm, back high 6.30pm. Assuming that windguru does as i say, I'll see u on the beach

    pmsl to the victims :- when overnighting in the vicinity of scudders or zotty, one must apply one of the following rules : 1. sleep with one eye open...... or the more secure method.... 2. just dont sleep at all I escaped due to the fact that a herd of rampaging elephants are more stealthy than scud n zot in a giggling frenzy :D
