I have to setup my bar as the line lengths (co2 205 on recon 1 bar) are not correct. I have done this before but can not remember the correct way. any advice would be most appreciated. I also need to set the bar position so it is further away from my body. Is this possible. Thanks in advance, ugg....

I have been learning for a while and have managed to get going whilst I was in Tarifa. I have had a couple off lessons. Since then I am having problems. I have been flying this weekend in around 15mph onshore winds with a Cabrinha co2 14m. I could get up but had real problems plaining. I feel that my board may be a bit small as i weigh 95kg. The board is 138 x 39 Twin Tip. Would it be best to keep trying with my board, get a larger board to get going easier or use a larger kite in the conditions above? Any tips or advice most welcome as I love the sport and off to France for 11 days to try and get it sorted. Thanks in advance, ugg...

I have the chance of getting a Cabrinha 17M BT Recon 2004. I already have a Storm II 18M and was wondering what your thoughts are on the 2 kites. Shall I stay with the Storm or go for the Cabrinha. Both kites are A1 conditon. ugg....

While flying it for the first time this weekend in 10mph winds (right at the bottom of its wind range) it seemed to be very unresponsive. We tried every setting on the kite, changing the front and rear line attachments in different combinations, but it seemed to make no difference. It would fly across the wind envelope very well, and was pulling me on my feet down the beach, but while trying to turn, near the edge of the wind envelope, it seemed to just want to stay there or turn very very slowly. It also was really hard to get the kite to rise. The bar size is 60cm, what sounds correct. Any suggestions, probally more wind, but just wanted to check..... Thanks in advance, ugg....

Thankyou all for your replys. 'Wallis', this is the same problem I have with my bindings as they have elastic through the top of the binding which is always closing the footstrap, making it hard to get your feet in. I am going to hold on until I go back to Tarifa in just over 2 weeks and I will be able to check out all of the bindings mentioned in the posts and see which work the best for me as there are lots of Kitesurf shops there. I have a brand New Tarifa Design Board but the bindings are slightly to small. I have size 11 feet and was wondering if any one can recommend a good pair of wide footstraps. I have seen these: 'Cabrinha Widebody Adjustable Footstraps' I can just about get my feet in them onland, so its fun and games in the water!!! Any advice would be most appreciated. ugg...
