  1. Hi Guys, nice to see a topic on my axles so many years later. At the moment working on a wing shaped axle. I'll keep you informed. Reagrds Frans ( former carbonbuggy site owner)
  2. I think when the axle flexes downwards (when you step into your buggy) it doesn't flex backwards easily at the same time. The downward bow prevents most of the flex in the other directions. This is my experience from testing. And as said before the main cause for the drag is the rolling resistance, which isn't all that that much. However best way to form your opinion is take have a testdrive. Regards Frans
  3. Hi , @Ped My axle ways around 2,5 kg so you'd be around 8 kg lighter compared to your steel axle. @Others The drag (flexibility backwards) is negligible compared to the flex downwards. But foilshape has even less drag thats true. On the other hand it's far more expensive. Regards Frans
  4. Hi, I have been following Giorgios work for quite as while and admire his 'pioneering'. I think in a near future there will be a lot of experimenting with complete carbon buggys. I curious how this all devellopes and I am glad that the days are over when everyone thought the only way to go is heavier and heavier. I'd say your comment is more like a pound then a penny. Thanks for the feedback and I agree with most of it. Regards Frans
  5. Hi, For the last month I've been working on a carbon axle. Please follow the link and tell me what you think. I am curious if anyone would consider buying such an axle. Regards Frans ::: CarbonBuggy.com ::: Carbon KiteBuggy Axles
