  1. got 1 of tese 7.5 fusions myself and love it for tham low wind days... handles gusts brilliantly so when buggying and the wind picks up,, u dont feel scared of being overpowerd.... a nice gentle increase ... GREAT kites.... love my 7.5 and 3.5 to bits wish i coulda got a 4.9 cheap,, hehe
  2. Well.... after getting a good price for my 4.9 blade 3, and gettign an even better deal on a spanking new 5m Riot,,, i couldent resist and took the plunge. :0) Turned up this morning so i rushed home from work at 4pm and went strait down my local flying spot.., wind was horribly gusty and lumpy, ranging from 8mph up to 20 mph gusts.... :0( but averaging around 14 or so... i had got some 30m lines sent with the kite as they can help a bit with dirty wind inland so i hoped it might smooth out some of the worst of it... so i got to unpacking :0) Extemely nice sized bag it comes in... big enough to squeeze 2 kites in and very well built,,,, with a couple of nice pockets to keep u valubles in while u fly Now for the kite.... oooohhhh... its pretty finaly got all the lines attached (no easy task staking out and fitting 30m lines in 20 mph gusty winds) and sat looking at my new beasty as it sat firmly on the ground..... and must admit its a very nice looking kite..... on close inspection.. the build quality is exellent, ive never owned a ozone b4 so i never knew what to expect, but was very happy... seems very solid and well made, and lighter than i expected. got harnessed in... sat down .. and prompty chucked it strait up the centre of the window. I came to a stop about 20 meters further down the field,, hehe.. stood up and walked back to my gear... where i stood for a while getting a feal for the kite, extremly stable, VERY fast through the air and on the turns.... more so than my 4.9 blade. seems more responsive in general, and pulls like mad pretty much anywhere in the window It did seem to feel the gusts and lumps alot.... although i do think it was alot worse than usual, and the blade would have been the same if not worse, but even when the wind dropped and gusted , it never lost its shape or collapsed on me, didnt luff, no sign of the wing tips folding in (my blade did this a bit) on the turns. To be honest i didnt get to try it in the buggy... as i was a little scared of the gusts after an incident i had :0)... some kids came over to watch what we were up to... and a couple were stood about 7 or 8 feet in front of me looking at the buggys, i was minding my own buisness with the Riot parked above me, when all of a suddent i was lifted strait up!! got lofted about 8 feet or so and carried completly over the heads of the kids 8 feet in front of me,,,,, to be set down very gently about 6 feet in front of them!!! lol... now the blades had me off the ground a few times.. but didnt seem to set me down as gently as this Riot just did!! once all the cries of "WOOOO do it again mister!!! stopped..... i promlty decided that buggying was not in my best intrests and packed the kite away after a few more mins static flying,, hehe All in all... im Extremly impressed so far..... great handling, very fast, stable as anything ive flown, VERY fast in a buggy ( i lent it to a m8 for 5 mins whos a nutter and was flying a 6.6 blade and buggy jumps so he is used to lifty kites in a buggy.. and he says its mental fast for speed runs!! got some nice air and jumps with it too ) lots of lift , but floatly with it...... it really does seem to do everything well. Looks like ozone may have got a winner on there hands..... a great all rounder that excells in most every department.... try 1 if u can..... im certain u will love it ill post again once ive got to know it a little better,,, hehe hope this helps anyone out there making that vital decision seeyas and have fun!! FLY u fools! By : Chivalry
