  1. I have flown 3.6m Beamer,3.5m Rebble and 3.0m samurai i found that the beamer doesnt pull as much as the other and is rather dissapointing. So even though it is cheaper it is more value for money to buy one of the others. But amusing review!
  2. I am reviewing this kite for a friend so if i make a mistake it is because i do not have the actual kite in front of me. We recieved our kite package and were very inpressed the bag was neat though not particurally stylish! Inside was the kite! Seems huge when opened in someones living room!! Lines of a black colour and handles without kite killers! The sail is made of a really light material and flys well at different wind levels thought not as well at the Samuri in low wind due to the thinner profile!! First change was to buy new handles because as we are newbies we wanted killers! So although this kite is cheaper than samuri you may want to replace the handles or the lines as they are rather "Cheap" so it all adds up! First flight setting up is fairly easy though i find numbering easier than the Rebbles colour code! Wind was quite strong and we nearly wimped out but we had been waiting for a week for windy weather so we chucked it up anyway! It flew amazingly and it has great pull! Sometimes a little unstable but great fun! Being yellow in colour the kite attracts to bugs in summer but it does look like a big banana over the fields of Bedfordshire, which is always amusing for the locals!! Packing away is easy and the bridle lines are easily stored in a velcro snap which keep the bridle knot free!! The bridle we have found has stretched slightly due to an extreme wind one day but appart from this kite is great! You can fly it on two lines but that would hide one of the best features, the Rebbles ability to turn on the break lines so brilliantly!! Fun to Money ratio great!! Although i am biased and say you should by a Samuri anyday! But this a great kite and has livened our days up exceedingly! By : rainbowrock2000
  3. Hey Great review! Totally agree about all the stuff seems pretty similar to the sm Sami!! I find the ozone kite killer a bit annoying as unlike flexifoil you need two hand to put them on and its really difficult to get them on tight enough!! I respet kite killer as they have saved me from injuring myself many times! Good review!
  4. I have a samurai so am biased but the rebble is a good kite but the sami just seems to be finished off better, and has better power to surface area ratio!! My firnd and i fly together Rebble 3.5 and Sami 3m And usually get about the same pull! A little more with the rebble whereas it should be alot more! Hope you could understand that!
  5. Hey thanks for the tip!! I shortened the brake lines because when i let go the ruddy kite didn't go down not good when you are flying along on your stomach! But have mastered the kite now!! I think i am in control
  6. Yeah the brake lines are really long i will have to alter them!! Thanks for the comment!!
  7. My kite flying started when i was 11 with my Dads Hq Symphony 2.2m after this i got my own and had many hours of fun with friends! But then the urge came i wanted a bigger, faster and more powerful kite. I went to my local kite store "Kempston Kites" (yes that was a obvious advert) and had a chat with the man and he recommended the "Samurai" The Nifty Back Pack The back pack is great it is small compact and actually quite stylish! It is a good size and comes with: netting pockets, key loop,kite,25 metre pinkl and orange lines, ozone handles with kite killers,'Funky' key ring and a sticker! What more does a girl want! Setting Up I went out-No wind I thought well I'll set it up and then i will be ready when the wind comes. My friend had her new rebble 3.5m out for the first time too. I looked at the instuctions and promtly threw then in the rucksack i found the useless and very little information. I set out the lines ( handy numbering system) after that i attached the lines marvelling at the lovly padding on the top line! i have flown 4 lines before and the top gives you a blister). My friend with her Rebble was in a big knot already! I gloated inwardly and went to help her! Once she was out of her knot i thought i would have a go at launching in no-wind(0.0 on the windometer) Flying I tugged it and like as many people say about their kites it zoomed to the zenith and waited like an obedient dog/child! It was of course very slow there being hardly any wind!!!But i was very impressed The next day was windy, after school i went out and launched it! It rocketed up and promtly dragged my whole 45kg body along the floor! It was great! It had some lift and loads of drag! I'm sure once i can master it propaly i will be able to do some really high jumps! The whole stability/Performance/Money/all the rest The kite was really stable but not easy to land! I personally just used the kite killers = less of a tangle and easy too! The "Samuari" is well woth the money though it is a bit much! I think it will be great for Boarding once i get one '*Hint**Hint* Dad' and is a really great kite though i don't like my colour PURPLE but can't complain as Kempston didn't have red! So basically the "samurai" Is a great kite and will keep me entertained for ages! lets hope im not too much of an adrenaline Junky!! By : rainbowrock2000
