  1. Excellent review Will, I was thinking about grabbing me one for when I visit my nephews, and for the Mrs to play with. They sure aint cheep though - But definatly more atractive than a stacker.
  2. This is my first review, and oddly it's on a helmet. Why review a helmet? Firstly beacuse I think everyone should wear one while flying, and , because it's easyer than reviewing a kite This helmet is a full face mountain / BMX biking helmet. At £65 it's mid priced (considering top range lids are £200 plus). There are 4 choices of colour: red/black; blue/black; grey/black (mine) and matt black. Before buying this, I was using a p1ss pot style BMX helmet, and never realy felt safe in the buggy or cool wearing it. This lid is cool. It's got a very sculpted look to the chin guard. It is shaped so you can twist and bend your neck every way and not be restricted by edges hitting your shoulders. Also, the field of view is virtually unhindered. It's easy to look up at the kite overhead (even with the peak on) and you can also see as much in your perhiferal (sp) vision as you would without a lid. I also had my bluetooth headset on in the ear void without a problem. The best thing I found with it was the fact that I could 'hear' where the wind was, as if I wasn't wearing a helmet. There is loads of ventelation. The chin strap has an easy 'luggage strap clip' on so it's easy to use with gloves and it is very light. It didn't move on my head unless I moved it, and it never felt restrictive. This is one of many full face helmets on the market. We should all wear them if moving with a kite. No excuses. Wear a helmet. By : vinniedriver
  3. Right then. I take it back...... after a short time tweeking and taking on Sven's advice, I got in the buggy with the 10m Extacy. Very dodgy wind, 0 - 12mph very on and off. Apart from the bad lulls, the only complaint was that I could only go upwind! I was going so hard upwind, the guy I was with on his "racekite" couldn't even follow me! These kites are not for static flying. In fact, static, it fly's pants. Get moving, and it's a whole different ball game. It comes to life, movement is it's thing. It locks in and drives. One last thing - if moving over from any open celled foil, these things don't fly like blades, sammi's or frenzy's or anything else I have flown. You need to tune yourself to something new.
  4. I think I need to come up and visit you - I am not getting on with my 10m at all. It fly's like a pig in 10mph. I think I could do with some one on one help (and it'd be good to compare mine with your broken in one)
  5. That zipper on the front of the bag must be the chunkyest zip in the world - ever!!!!!!!!
