hi
moving from traction onto the water lots of fun on land with some buggying...
took my first day with coast riders in aberdovey yesterday got up to body dragging self rescue pretty well got to the point of looking to board on the water but...
i got face planted in the water, i did expect this but the 3rd time i was apparently a good 10ft airborne looping the kite when i should be doing a nice controlled onshore body drag, this knocked me back. Got back to it but it made me fearful. Dont get me wrong im a 44 year old male and have done some crazy things in my youth but that last dive left me with a doubt, finished the day (lisa at coastriders is brilliant i have nothing but praise for them) and have another day to do, but there is that doubt and fear. I watched lisa do the launch etc and i though easy, my problem is to many bad habits from traction kiting the power from the 8m bow kite i was using was completely different to what im used to. flying my pansh 5m in strong winds i can feel the power the feedback every correction, on the water however it was so different.
The water was deep but am i out of my depth?? how many lessons do i have and is what im going through common ??
advice please from a very sore face:D
