I wouldn't trust the forecast. It was miles off when I went in July. 11m weather everyday : )

If you go to Flag Beach I highly recommend you first view it at low tide. You'll be able to see all the nasty rocks and reefs before they get covered.

I know you are local to westward but I would travel to either Exmouth duck pond or Portland harbour for some flat water. You'll gain confidence quickly and soon be charging barrels down back at westward! -

I find it hard to get out the van and rig up when it's hacking down. If starts when I'm up and running then it's not so bad. Wet sandy kite is pants though.
