ION Strike 5/5 with o'neill long sleeve thermal rash vest. The vest makes getting changed by the car bearable as under that i am barely damp. ION ballistic boots split toe they keep the toes lovely and warm and good for the walking over shells. Yet to buy gloves but i think santa may be getting me a vest with integrated hood.

I only started in october this year. Me and a mate both got ION strike suits that are 5/5 and thay are lovely and toasty. Leading upto our first lesson i got it in my head that the water temperaature was atleast -20 and i could definatly see iceburgs off of southend pier lol so brought myself some oneal thermals to go with it. obvioulsy i spend a lot more time in the water than you guys having just started but i caan honestly say i havnt even been remotely cold.

Cheers guys I didnt use it. I think if I had put a 12 up on sunday i would have ended up in Calais Lol. Kites in for repair now, hopefully wont be long.

Thanks. I only noticed it as i was getting ready to pack down as i ran my hand over to get a bit of sand off I felt the bladder protruding a little. I will put a bit of tape on for today an get it in for a repair asap. Rich

Hey, Was out today an got a very small tear (maybe inch long) on the leading edge . The bladder didnt get a puncture. Is there any repairs I can carry out temporarily so i can use it tomorrow or would this be a big no no? Rich

I had two days tuition at the end of october, a day body dragging and learning some kite control and a few attempts at board starts the next day before the wind dropped right off. Since then i have got out most weekends sharing a kite with friends to gain confidence before putting our own up. Over the weekend it just clicked, i dont know if it was a case of the conditions being just right but it was brilliant and im fully looking forward to the weekend to make sure it wasnt a fluke Rich
