    Is there anything other than a great kitesurfing spot at the end of the track?! Just thinking of keeping my better half happy, a sandy beach and cafe wouldn't go a miss....sunbeds?! Looking at pictures think i might be asking a lot?!

    I have seen some youtube footage of 'the walk', have hired a car to venture round the Algarve and hopefully get some surfing in. Can you park close to the start of the walk? We're staying in Alvor so no real problem if we can't park closer. Still got to pick up a new kite for the trip, can't wait!

    I'm sure i will! Living in London now but regularly return to Dorset and Devon, how does Westward Ho! fair for a beginner...ish kitesurfer?!

    Thanks all for your info, sounds like i have picked the best spot for me to improve! Is the the outflow channel avoidable, i am still trying to stay upwind so do have them moments away from my board from time to time?!

    Hello All, heading to Alvor in the Algarve, Portugal in two weeks and was wondering if anyone had been before? Do i need a wetsuit, i have been advised to take my 9m (i am restricted on space so will only take one kite)? Any other areas in the Algarve that you would recommend would be good too! Thanks Ferg

    Thanks everyone for all the information, it is a massive help as i don't have many contacts so therefore will struggle to test many kites!

    Cheers Johnny, i will get on to kitekit asap! I live in London so mainly use the beaches in the South East.

    Sounds ideal i will start looking round the online shops! I have heard a few things about the LF bar setup being a bit awkward...although i thought the below the bar depower might help me as i have had a problem with reaching the trim strap in the past, as you can probably work out i'm quite short!!

    Is the Naish Park good for progressing on, getting upwind, first jumps etc?! I've seen some good deals on Liquid Force kites already and am going to Portugal in Sept so wanted to take a new kite!! Thanks for replying to thread, i can't make my mind up so all advice is good!

    Hello all, I am in the market for a new kite, probably a 9m as thats the size i seem to end up on more often than not! I currently have a 9 and a 12m GK Trix 07, I am at the tedious 'trying to stay upwind' stage. I can stay upwind for a couple of runs then tend to struggle after a couple of mistakes! As i didn't own my kites from new i have never really got them flying as well as i would like, they tend to back stall quite a bit. I now feel it's time to own a kite from new and have been primarily looking at the LQ Envy 9m. I have also been recommended the F-one bandit 4, Takoon Furia or Chrono and Carbrinha Switchblade. Does anyone have any good advice, anyone in the same position?!! Like i said i am veering towards the Envy but just want to make sure it's the right kite as i can't afford to get it wrong! Thanks!!
