UPDATE Thanks everyone for your help and advice. After a lot of internet searching and calling up a few kite shops, I managed to track down what I think must be the only shop left in the UK still selling their last Ozone Flows... so I am now the proud owner of a 2011 model blue/white/black 3m Ozone Flow! Check out anti-gravity.co.uk in York who may have a few left. They are at reduced prices too so a little cheaper than the octane at £170 on handles or £200 on bar. Now just need to get out and have fun flying it!

ANOTHER UPDATE: Looks like i'm not getting the flow (unless I can find anywhere with the 3m still in stock) and cant really afford the octane and dont particularly like the 3m colours... (picky i know but you dont want to stare at something you dont like the look of) sooo... Spoke to a few different kite shops today (including PKS) and was told by pretty much all of them that for my weight (11stone) and because i'm not wanting to landboard/buggy, just to have a good fun flying sessions in a wide range of winds, that I should stick to around the 3m size mark and maybe I should also consider the following... Flexifoil Sting 3.3 - good price but conflicting reviews, some saying its a kids kite, others saying great fun?? thoughts? Flexifoil Rage 2.5 or 3.5? - maybe too expensive? not sure on size either... Ozone Quattro (the new one, not the old imp version) - anyone flown one of these? any good? Im so confused now... help!

UPDATE: OK, so they didnt have the Flow in stock so might be getting an Octane instead... my question to everyone is, should I get the 3m or 4m? The shop have recommended the 4m as they say it will give me more fun in lighter winds and I will get more fun out of it in the long run as I get more experienced... true? I am tempted as I got bored of the Big Buzz quite quickly in lighter winds and I can always get that out if it gets blustery... but at 11stone i'm still worried (and so is my wife!) that I might break my arm/leg/neck if it takes me for a ride... your expertise would be greatly appreciated...

One more newbie question... I have noticed that although the new octane kite comes with a ground stake, it doesnt look like the ozone flow does?? Can someone confirm if this is the case, and if so, do I need to purchase one for static flying? I never used one before with my Big Buzz, just a question of me or the wife running and jumping on the kite! Is it an essential piece of kit now i'm moving to 4-liners?

Thanks, hope i don't regret not spending the extra on the octane 4m... But i think i was worried about the bigger size being more likely to pull me over and possibly less versatile and as im not looking to board or buggy i presumed the 3m would be more fun and manageable in medium-high winds Looking foreward to flying it now!

Couldn't resist - after reading all the positive reviews on here and other forums about the flow I went for the 3m... Looking forward to getting it now! :-) thanks for all your advice guys

thanks Steve, i'll have a look Just found a 2011 3m flow online for £160 discounted for bank holiday - should I go for it? looks like a great price for a new kite ... i was concerned that at only 11stone a 4 o4 5m would be too much pull for me..

Thanks, I emailed them - they have no more 3 or 4m flows. shame. I have put a request for a 3m flow in the wanted section, I might also extend that to 4m and see what crops up. 4m octane blue/yellow looks really good i think... i'm not keen on the 3m blue/red colours anyway. Just depends if I can save up a bit more cash!! If it's an improvement on the flow it might be worth it so I get a brand new kite... but it's about £208 at the moment unless anyone knows of a discount somewhere?

Thanks James. Yeh I heard the flows were good and I nearly bought one last year and i'm annoyed I missed my chance cos theyre out of stock/discontinued everywhere! I found this ATB ex-demo list before but when you click the link above to buy the flow is not listed so i'm guessing they sold it already, also i'm only 11stone so a bit worried the 5m is too big for me? - im only static flying and i dont wanna get spanked! As i dont want to buggy should i not stick with 3 or 4m? Quick question - If the flow is so well respected as a good kite, will the replacement ozone octane be as good or even improved? Or have they changed in quality? I quite like the design of the octane 4m... Just the price tag thats putting me off at the moment... Has anyone flown one yet?

Hi all, Am 29 and got a flexifoil big buzz last year as a present which has been great fun (especially in high winds) but has got me thinking about maybe getting something a bit more exciting... I'm not looking to get into boarding or buggying, just something that will launch and fly cleanly, keep me entertained and give me a good workout without breaking my neck (i am just over 11stone). Oh and ideally in the £100-£200 range (unless someone as a good used one for sale?) After doing a lot of research on forums and reading reviews I am narrowing it down to the following and included my concerns... - Flexifoil Sting 3.3m (too close in feel to the buzz? will i get bored?) - Flexifoil Rage 2.5m or 3.5m (are these more for buggying?) - Ozone Flow 3m or 4m (now discontinued and sold out everywhere!?) - Ozone Octane 3m or 4m (Flow's replacement but high price for new style) - PKD Buster Soulfly (bargain price but should i get a better quality kite?) Any idea what the colour and designs are like on the flows? i'm saving up for a 3 or 4m at the moment but cant afford one yet so i'll have to either buy a more expensive new one or 2nd hand old one...
